October 4, 200915 yr You know, I thought Spanish was easy, but I´ve found out it´s absolutely NOT however, I love the language - its´ sound, pronounciation, culture, it´s really wonderful. So you can speak both Catalan and Spanish, that is great I think - I knew that Italian and Portugese are similar to Spanish, but I didn´t know you actually understand each other quite well, I find that pretty amazing, since it´s the same here with Czech and Slovak and those other few languages. Except the writing form of Russian, azbuka. Yep, it's very easy, I talked Spanish when I was just 4 years old. Seriously, it's probably one of the easiest languages together with English, that's probably one of the reasons both are so widely spoken. Catalan is much more difficult, and French too. I can understand quite well Italian, but Portuguese is a different thing, it's a curious case, Portuguese people easily understand Spanish but it doesn't happen the same the other way around, probably cause of their pronunciation.
