September 24, 201311 yr Hmm, that is odd. I didn't see that one coming. I think a warrior role might suit her.
September 24, 201311 yr ...unless in the movie she cuts off one tit/breastical/boob/funbag/giggles-n-juice (seriously go do your History research), gains a good 100 pounds, and butches the hell up there is zero way she can successfully pass as a Amazon warrior And those costumes are so inaccurate it makes me wanna punch a kitten..(I studied historical attire for almost 3 years in school). Plus TheRock is in it. This movie looks about on par with something Corky from Life Goes On would enjoy. Good for Babs for getting the roll though... Get your paycheck gurl
September 24, 201311 yr many people commenting on twitter! i don't know if is truth, because has no concrete proof!

Get your paycheck gurl You're right, historically they totally called them giggles-n-juice. I checked. Seriously though, the movie industry, generally speaking, does not care much about accuracy, especially the non-glamorous details.
September 24, 201311 yr Well I love Greek history. In fact history is my field and I don't know about accuracy but look at things like Xena. She wasn't huge but she looked pretty damn nice (Lucy Lawless), I support her.
September 24, 201311 yr Glad to see I'm not the only one who knows the proto-Thracians called them giggles-n-juice. That carryover throughout history is amazing!
September 24, 201311 yr Xena wasn't real... she was made for tv.. and a cult underground lesbian fan club. Hell she wasn't even a real myth. She was "made for tv". So using her as a historical basis for the show is a complete fallacy. There were very few female warriors in the time period of Hercules, most of note were obviously the Amazons.
September 24, 201311 yr Personally I think Barbara could pull off the greek look. Egyptian mythology might be harder as they are darker and even the ones lighter aren't look very different. Even the Romans were different. She has a good look for the Greeks. She ain't a Spartan looking woman. I think she would have been cool as a young Andromeda. These types of films are always dumbed down.
September 24, 201311 yr Zooc Fall/Winter 2013. (Sorry for the little 'x' in the top right corner in all the pictures. I had to screen cap them since there was no other way to save them or get them off the page.)
September 24, 201311 yr Plus a little video of it I uploaded to my YouTube channel. (quality isn't the best, sorry)
September 24, 201311 yr Well.. for me she's the best model, i mean, in my heart i have space only for her and she's stunning in all the pictures I feel the same way That's beautiful. This movie is based on a comic book series by the way and it's a Brett Ratner action movie so I am sure they are just going to nail ancient Greece and Greek Mythology and everybody will leave super happy. The Rock is the best thing going for this movie. I think he has been getting a lot of positive publicity lately, I like him. I don't like Barbara's face in some of these latest pics.
September 24, 201311 yr Zooc Meet the Sunshine F/W 2013 pics vid http://www.filedropper.com/barbarapalvinzooc2013
September 24, 201311 yr I dunno about this warrior theory... Barbara's outfit is gold and in the same scene the clothes of Jean Pigozzi's character have gold as well as the set (what seems like a throne etc.). And it would be a little peculiar colour choice for a fighter because of its strong symbolic meanings.
