An interview in which Harvey Weinstein ( who loves to boast about anything he is backing ) talks about Django Unchained

Speaking of magic: Weinstein is promising that Quentin Tarantino's upcoming "Django Unchained" will be just as much of a thrill ride as 2010's acclaimed "Inglourious Basterds."

The movie, starring Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson, centers on freed slave Django who seeks to free his enslaved wife Broomhilda from a sadistic slave master with the aid of a bounty hunter. (Sacha Baron Cohen is also officially a part of the cast, Weinstein says, although he declined to elaborate on his role.)

"This is revenge. This is righting all the wrongs of prejudice and racial bias, and doing it in a way that young kids are going to go see this movie and they’re going to get it, they’re going to be wildly entertained and they’re going to walk out of there just like with ‘Inglourious Basterds’ and never think the same way again."

"No one's ever going to feel bad for the Ku Klux Klan," Weinstein said, but if you thought the Nazis in Tarantino's last movie had it rough, "wait till you see what happens to them...This is the greatest kick ass spaghetti western of all time."

Thanks Barbie for the Footshooting Party clip! :D

Thanks Ox and princess for the articles. Nice we can expect to see Leo at the Durban on the 29th :)

To every american on here, :p, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

FINALLY Leo says something juicy! And talks about family!

Leonardo DiCaprio claims he looked like his grandmother when he was filming scenes for his new movie.

The actor is widely considered to be one of the most handsome men in Hollywood. However, Leonardo insists he looked quite different when he was portraying an elderly J. Edgar Hoover.

The hunk suffered quite a shock when he caught a glimpse of his appearance.

"I was appalled because I didn't look like my father or my grandfather - I looked like my grandmother!" Leonardo laughed to German magazine TV Movie.

The film J. Edgar follows the career of the FBI director – as well as his relationship with his mother and speculation that he was a closet cross dresser and homosexual.

Leonardo is proud to be taking on such a challenging role and found the character fascinating.

"I still wonder how Hoover could live at home with his mom till he was 40! He didn't have any private life, just work, work, work,” he explained.

Leonardo also discussed his long-term goals.

The 37-year-old hunk has dated some of the world’s most beautiful women, including Gisele Bündchen, Bar Refaeli and most recently Blake Lively.

It appears the star is finally thinking about settling down.

“The next chapter [of my life] is called 'family'. I always wanted a family," he replied when asked about his plans for the future. "I don't regret anything I've done [since Titanic]. Because I'm happy with my career and my private life."

The excerpt below is from an interview this week with Gatsby's Joel Edgerton. Going by what he says, it would seem Leo is due to be home by Christmas

The Aussie actor is set to wind up the filming of Gatsby in late December.

Kat

Happy Thanksgiving to you and others :)

Also, thanks, for Leo German interview. Leo has stated in the past that he hopes one day to have a family/be a father. I think the confusion comes from when fans think 'one day' is and and what Leo views 'one day' as in terms of time /years :p :p

^Thanks for the Gatsby filming info!

And yeah it seems his defientitions of one day, and our one day are different :p But he said his next chapter, so thats a start! :p :D

Kat

Yes, and his version of a chapter may be 1,000 pages long or equivalent to ten years before we get to the page where he begins a family :p :p

Though , all kidding aside, I do truly believe one day he will be married and a father. I think when he finds the woman he truly wants to spend his life with /be the mother of his children, that children will follow very quickly :)

Happy Thanksgiving Girls from the Usa

I warn you if any of you don't send me a bowl with food... I'll be very upset :p

FINALLY Leo says something juicy! And talks about family!

Kat if I were you, I don't get too excited... Let see with whom he supposedly wants to start a family? :/ With the 40 model of his birthday party?, with the Kloss? with Madelina (who is out of the picture since a time) All he does is partying with his own "Wolfpack", like if we're in 1998 again. I doubt that he's giving him time to meet any girls with whom to start a family. Sad but true! :(

^LOL yeah I know OKAY! :p I'm just saying, its nice hes thinking about it. I know hes having fun partying and being single with a ton of models right now. I'm just excited because it means he still wants to be a father someday. I know it probably won't be for a few years, but I am happy it is still on his mind!

I can see Leo having a child by or around age 40.

Happy Thanksgiving American peeps :D

Also I would give Leo probably another 5-10 years before any type of family is started.

Right now, I think he's just into taking it easy and the casual sexy times because he got out of 5-6 year serious relationship with Bar and then tried to jump into what seemed to be another somewhat serious, rebound thing with Blake. So? I think he's just chilling atm. BUT DUDE NEEDS TO BREED. I don't even care if he ever marries. I JUST WANT TO SEE WHAT HIS CHILD WOULD LOOK LIKE AND SOME PAP PICS OF HIM TAKING CARE OF SAID CHILD. Aww daddy!Leo. So cute. But I think he might go insane trying to keep the press away from the child. :/ So that makes me nervous in ways. Lol.

Barilace Wow I feel the exact same way!!! Did you get my last pm by the way?

BARBIE I got your pm but I'm on my phone and on short break from work......when I get home I'll respond :)

Happy thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates

Thank you so much for that article Kat!

And I agree. I don't see a baby soon (although Id LOVE too :D )

But at least this is a big step up from 'I love what I'm doing right now too much'

I think the fact that he's not having a gf right now also helps ;)

All he does is partying with his own "Wolfpack", like if we're in 1998 again. I doubt that he's giving him time to meet any girls with whom to start a family. Sad but true!

My secret hope is that he falls madly in love with the girl who works in his bakery or something like that :p

Leonardo DiCaprio To Feature In A Western

Westerns are still out there even though you haven’t truly observed any come out in the past months and perhaps several years. They still do have their moments in the Hollywood scene. Of course, you must keep the ever loving ‘Cowboys and Aliens’ and ‘True Grit’ in mind when it comes to western like movie films, and what effect they have on their viewers.

One more project is coming to town in terms of bringing the western heat. ‘The Creed of Violence’ is definitely the new talked about western script that features new flavor from the wild, wild west. It’s based mainly on the novel in 2010 from the cult author Boston Teran. It definitely attracted the special attention of Leonardo DiCaprio that wished to play in it as early as he took one look in the script. He’s as eager as ever to play one of the biggest lead roles. Although this was stated from one of the actors friends, and could not say out loud publicly because they don’t want to speak for the actor.

related: exploretalent.com

DiCaprio has been offered one of the lead parts, but has yet to accept it or know regardless of whether or not he is going to accept it.

Furthermore this is among the greatest movies that have been in progress subsequent to ‘In the Bedroom’ from the director Todd Field that has been worked on for several years, similar to ‘Cowboys and Aliens.’ The film is being set up and shot in Universal. Spokespeople for DiCaprio declined to have any comments on the upcoming film and whether or not the actor is planning to persue the given part. ‘Creed’ tells the tall story on the 1910 era story of a criminal that is named Rawbone. He tried to take numerous distinct sorts of weapons into Mexico as a smuggler. This was a part of the country’s revolution, but he ends up getting caught after which is brought back by a government agent. This agent, as it turns out, shares a secret past with the criminal.

DiCaprio can perform either of these two primary characters states one of the sources inside. If he makes the decision to perform the part of the government agent, it will show his pattern of law enforcement roles in the films that he does that range from ‘Shutter Island’ towards the upcoming ‘Hoover’ movie that is a historical biopic film. If he decides to play the bad guy or criminal in this film than it marks just the 2nd time that he goes back for the bad and harsh time of American Background to be able to do so. He’s even trying to take on one of the villains in Quentin Taratino’s ‘Django Unchained.’

This can be something that we will need to wait and see when the movie comes out. Depending on the option that DiCaprio makes, you can determine whether or not this is the suitable move for him to make. We’ll wait and see in anxious desperation for the movie that is out there.

Martin Scorsese Says ‘The Irishman’ Could Shoot Next Year; Says DiCaprio Is Wanted for ‘Sinatra’

The release of the wonderful Hugo has us in something of a Martin Scorsese overdrive this week. We’ve brought you a review of his latest film and two features on it — and that’s not even counting news that he would direct an adaptation of Jo Nesbo‘s mystery novel, The Snowman. That lattermost bit is rather significant; now that he has something else out in theaters, it’s time for him to move on to whatever might be next. To me, that’s basically as exciting.

And of all the projects Scorsese has been cooking up, the one I’m most desperate to see is probably The Irishman, a mob film that would star a dream cast consisting of Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, and Al Pacino. As a result, it’s been a little unfortunate that talk of the possible epic has been drowned out by the noise of so many other developments for the filmmaker. There’s almost nobody I’d rather talk about than him, but a piqued interest is, almost by definition, something that requires quite a bit to be overcome, and not much else has managed to do that when it comes to him.

Then you can imagine that I’m filled with joy to hear Scorsese comment to MTV that he hopes to get The Irishman made “in the next year or so.” What will seem like small words to some is a great relief to myself; I only hope he can cool down a bit on the whole attaching himself to projects phase and get this out when he hopes to.

Scorsese also filled us in on a project that’s had an even quieter development, Sinatra. The last news on this film’s front came in March when Scott Rudin signed on as producer, which is a good step — but not enough when nothing else has been made public for the better part of a year. His most recent comments, almost as if he were making up for lost time, are quite a handful.

First, Scorsese confirmed what everyone sort of knew: He wants Leonardo DiCaprio to play Frank Sinatra. Now, I’ve loved almost everything they’ve worked on together, so I won’t object. Some might, but that’s their choice. Otherwise, it was noted that Phil Alden Robinson‘s script is being jettisoned in favor of a new one — they’re “staring again with a new script,” a process that will begin “in January or February.” He couldn’t say who’s actually doing the new screenplay, so I’m thinking the Sum of All Fears helmer is out of the picture.

The bigger question is now what they’ll do with the music. Scorsese‘s “first instinct” is to use the original recordings instead of having DiCaprio lip synch, since there’s “no one that can [sing in his place],” simply because “you wouldn’t accept it.” The challenge is then shooting it in a way where it isn’t obvious — where “you know it isn’t him up there, at that moment,” while still being “interesting narratively, you buy whatever’s happening there.” I think he’s got the talent to pull it off.

How about 3D? As he said, “Why not? Open your minds.” He isn’t joking, by the way.

aww Leo I loved your comment: “The next chapter [of my life] is called 'family'. I always wanted a family," you make me so happy saying this. I really wish Leo have an amazing family, he deserves this.
