March 5, 201411 yr From Deadline Hollywood once again a little update on a previously rumored film project for Leo from Deadline Hollywood Leonardo DiCaprio gets involved with lots of things, so you may have forgotten that last fall the actor inked a deal to produce and possibly star in the big screen adaptation of bestselling author Jo Nesbø's forthcoming two-part book series "Blood On Snow" (written under the pseudonym Tom Johansson, which seems a bit pointless since everyone knows who wrote it, but whatever). Well, DiCaprio is still deciding whether or to star in the thing, but has lined up a pretty great director to take it on. Daniel Espinosa ("Safe House," "Easy Money") is in talks to take the reins on this story that follows an assassin who falls for his boss' wife after being assigned to kill her. Oops. No word yet on who will adapt the books, or when this might roll. Espinosa is currently busy in post on "Child 44" starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Gary Oldman and Joel Kinnaman, and has a number of other gigs vying for his attention including a remake of "A Gang Story," the John Grisham adaptation "The Racketeer" and the still-unconfirmed gig helming "Assassin's Creed." But hey, Espinosa and DiCaprio could be a good fit, so we'll just have to wait and see http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/daniel-espinosa-to-direct-thriller-blood-on-snow-for-leonardo-dicaprio-20140305
March 6, 201411 yr From Variety we now have news that the Capt Phillips' screenplay writer has come aboard to write screenplay for rumored Leo/Jonah "The Ballad of Richard Jewell" project After receiving an Oscar nomination for real-life drama “Captain Phillips,” screenwriter Billy Ray has been tapped to bring another true story to the big screen for Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill. Ray is set to write the 1996 Atlanta Olympics bombing drama “The Ballad of Richard Jewell,” which is based on Marie Brenner’s article in Vanity Fair. The drama will reunite “The Wolf of Wall Street” duo DiCaprio and Hill. Both actors, whom received an Oscar nomination for their performance in Martin Scorsese’s saga, are attached to star. DiCaprio will produce with Jennifer Davisson Killoran through his Appian Way banner. Hill will also produce, along with Kevin Misher who discovered the article. The Vanity Fair article follows a security guard who reported on the knapsack bomb at the 1996 summer Olympics and helped clear bystanders — only to find himself vilified and suspected of being involved in the terrorism plot. Hill will play Jewell and DiCaprio will play the lawyer out to clear his name. Given how many projects are in development for both actors, it’s unknown when exactly this film would move forward into production. But Fox’s expedience in acquiring rights to the story and hiring the “Captain Phillips” writer show the studio views it as a major priority. Ray won the Writers Guild of America’s adapted screenplay award last month for “Captain Phillips.” Ray, who also scripted “The Hunger Games,” is repped by CAA and Management 360. http://variety.com/2014/film/news/billy-ray-fox-dicaprio-the-ballad-of-richard-jewell-1201126006/

March 6, 201411 yr Wolf receives 8 MTV nominations which include '4' for Leo http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=115641 Barbie Tks for all the wonderful pix/vid of Leo at Oscars , as well as, sweet one with his WEGG mom Regarding Devil in White City : Having read the book, like you, I , too, hope to see Leo do the film. Since he did mention in the Variety interview that Devil is a film he wants to be a part of , I take that as a good sign (Y) One thing for sure is that Henry Holmes , the first known US serial killer, makes a person like Jordan Belfort seem like angelic choir boy in comparison Kat I did see Capt Phillips and thought it was an excellent film, so I was excited to see the same screenplay writer attached to Snow Infact Billy Ray won the WGA Guild Award during the recent award season for his adapted screenplay for Capt Phillips Fash What a cute pix of Leo showing of Jen's personalized cufflinks , tks
