We’re told two separate mystery bidders won a pair of seats on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space flight with the actor, each paying about 1.5 million euros ($1.9 million). The auction was helped along by the Cannes Film Festival’s most glamorous attendee, Sharon Stone, who outshone all the other actresses by wearing a series of daring, plunging and figure-fitting gowns at events. Other prizes that sold big at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS bash at the Hotel du Cap included admission to the big Oscar parties and “The Wolf of Wall Street” premiere with DiCaprio, which went for $1.5 million. An unnamed bidder at Thursday night's amFAR Cinema Against AIDS Charity auction paid $1.5 million for a trip into outer space with Leonardo DiCaprio during the group's 20th anniversary gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc. All three astronauts will spend three days in training with DiCaprio in Texas and then sit next to him when they blast into the stratosphere aboard one of Sir Richard Branson's new fleet of spaceships. The galactic adventure was the brainchild of amFAR benefit veteran Harvey Weinstein. Earlier in the evening, the same deep pockets that shelled out the $1.5 million to be DiCaprio's space partner also paid another $1.5 million for a complete "Oscars experience" – which includes attending the premiere of Di Caprio's upcoming film for director Martin Scorsese, The Wolf of Wall Street, and a date with Heidi Klum. So it took some trickery to steal yesterday evening cocktail AMFAR, some pictures of the actor, installed in the corridors of the Hotel du Cap, alone on a bench, behind a wall of mercenaries in tuxedos and headsets . DiCaprio pulled out his electronic cigarette, sipping a glass of champagne and chatted with actress Goldie Hawn. Later, under the huge tent where they attended the dinner and auction conducted hand mistress wife Sharon Stone, Leo (the table of Harvey Weinstein) spent the evening mostly in conversation, screwed his laptop ear.
