Sounds like we'll get to see some of Leo for sure in the outdoor scenes on Friday in Ardsley :)

ARDSLEY, N.Y. – Crews were busy Monday in Ardsley transforming the former Frank’s Best Auto Body garage into a 1980s office space for Martin Scorsese’s film, “The Wolf of Wall Street,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

DiCaprio and Scorsese, along with Jonah Hill, will shoot scenes in the newly created office space Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., said Hakiem Greenhut, a locations staff member.

Filming will move outside Friday to Saw Mill River Road and 1980s cars will be brought in to line the street, Greenhut said.

The inside of the old garage on Saw Mill River Road near the village green was filled with rows of desks, covered in papers, phones and office supplies, as people quickly unloaded boxes from several cars nearby.

Both Greenhut and Ardsley Police said they do not anticipate traffic issues or roadblocks during the filming.

“As of now, no roads will be closed,” said Ardsley Police Chief Emil Califano.

Califano said traffic will be stopped temporarily to allow a few minutes of shooting, but if the shooting takes longer than expected, traffic could be rerouted to avoid delays.

Greenhut said filming will end Friday and the crews and actors will move to other locations in Long Island, New Jersey and New York City.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese movie filming in Ardsley

Martin Scorsese's movie, "The Wolf of Wall Street," starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is filming on Ashford Avenue in Ardsley today.

The movie about securities fraud and mobsters is based on Jordan Belfort's memoir of the same name, with DiCaprio playing Belfort, who struggles with substance abuse and his personal life while working on Wall Street. It's the fifth time the Academy Award-nominated actor will be working with Scorsese, who won an Oscar in 2007 for directing DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon in "The Departed."

Film crews descended on what appeared to be an auto body shop on the 700 block of Ashford Avenue, but at least part of the set was altered for production. A phone number shown on the side of the building resulted in disconnected calls.

About 30 fans lined up across the street to get a glimpse of the action, but there were no public signs of DiCaprio; police on the scene told fans that the actor had sneaked in the back entrance of the set, and had left before fans arrived.

Ardsley residents Emily Fishman and her mother, Debbie Fishman, were among those hoping to spot Leo off-set. "I'm hoping to breathe the same air as Leonardo DiCaprio," said Emily, 22.

However, fans did spot Scorsese, who arrived in a Mercedes and waved to the crowd and held what appeared to be a script as he made his way to the set.

Upon Scorsese's arrival, Carla Pellicci of Tarrytown screamed, "He's so little!" When asked if his stature disappointed her, she clarified, "I just thought he'd be taller."

"The Wolf of Wall Street" also stars Matthew McConaughey ("Dazed and Confused"), Jonah Hill ("Moneyball"), Gene Hackman ("Hoosiers") and Kyle Chandler ("Super 8").

Providing the adapted screenplay for "The Wolf of Wall Street" is Terence Winter, who helms HBO's "Boardwalk Empire," which has filmed in Westchester County and stars Stone Ridge resident Steve Buscemi. Scorsese directed the series' first episode.

"I'm hoping to breathe the same air as Leonardo DiCaprio," ..... Okaaaay! :nicole:
