Shine

Thanks for all the great red carpet pix :)

he seems tired :/

thanks girls for pics!

and one more thing I wanted to mention, well I saw last 1 hour of GG live,so I saw Best Actor nomination and have to admit that I've never seen him so disappointed, was kinda awkward moment for him imho and he felt that way,it was so awkward, he couldn't even hide it :/ but I'm not surprised,it's awkward Leo lost Oscar with George Clooney  Hollywood's Foreign Press Association should feel shame for it! :)

thanks for more pics and for the interview shine, also thanks ox for the cute pic.

Sick: I think he's tired of lose for whom don't deserve, especially this time.

Seriously, I didn't get angry with Jamie Foxx or Forest Whitaker when Leo lose to them because they made a very good job as much as Leo, but George? with all this game behind is really disgusting.

Well, I can't say how he looked when he lost but... by what you said girls, he wasn't really happy at all, and I remember pretty well that when Foxx and Whitaker won the Oscar he reacted really ok, he smiled and everything but it seems this time really bother him... :/

Latest J Edgar box office news , our goal is at least $70 million or more

Thanks for interview clip :)

I'm so tired of these awards... don't know why I insist on watching this circus. Anyways...

First of all... Leo was beautiful, stunning , with that I've gotten used to see  .

Lessons learned at the Golden Globes 2012:

1 - They "cut the wings" of Ricky Gervais... I kind of already expected this, but didn't think he would sell himself. He even made some jokes, but far away than I had imagined, that's a shame.

2 - Hollywood has an owner... Harvey Weinstein. This became clear to me at the time that Madonna won a prize. Really? Madonna?

3 - Forgive my ignorance, but I didn't know that George Clooney was in the running for president... is he? Yes, because every time returned from commercials there he was in a different table, "pulling the balls" and "digging" the Oscar. And he said to be rooting for his buddy Brad Pitt... fool me, I like.

4 - George Clooney doesn't know the word humility. Anyone out there seen him thanking the cast, director, production? I must have missed that part.

5 - The Golden Globe was once one party more fun. Dustin Hoffman's face and the beginning of his speech shows it. I agree with you girls when you said that the award this year was boring. Too boring. I knew that Leo was not going to win, so I almost quit, but I decided to stay and watch until the end. This gave me the opportunity to learn the lesson number 4, that's why I'm not sorry.

6 - If to get a prize Leo need to do scenes on this game and pretend to be THE mister sympathetic, I prefer that he gets nothing. I understood before that these awards should be given to the best... once again I let myself cheat.

Sorry girls, but I had to get it out of my chest.

Leo was the same table with Natalie Portman and Nicole Kidman... on the table next to Joseph Gordon Levitt. At the moment they were announced the nominees for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, we can see Leo (his arm) greeting him.

Thanks girls for all pics, articles, videos... Oxford, Shine, Princess, Audrina, Barbie, Sick, Wijn.

Oh, and you're sooooo lucky Daydream.

thanks for the news, ox. Not that bad for a biopic.

Nanda: well said, girl!

Below is too cute Vanity Fair blog description of when Leo enterted the BAFTA tea . The comments are priceless !

The guests at Saturday afternoon's BAFTA Award Season Tea Party nearly followed the strict instructions that greeted them at the Four Seasons Hotel: "No recording devices or photography allowed inside." For ninety minutes, cellular device use was respectfully kept to a minimum as the entertainment types calmly enjoyed the open bar, finger sandwiches and the actors who arrived to put in some award season face time.

And then Leonardo DiCaprio appeared.Slim and tanned from his time on Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby set, the J. Edgar star swept in the room to a clumsy chorus of cell phones powering up. The first actors to pounce on the Golden Globe nominee (for lead actor in a drama) were 13-year-old Modern Family co-stars Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould, who appeared to have an impressively adult two-minute conversation with their older and much taller peer before asking for a photo, for which DiCaprio happily obliged . As soon as the Modern Family stars drop-kicked BAFTA's rule, it seemed, a crowd of women of all ages began indiscreetly snapping flash photos of the actor, mostly with phones in pink and zebra-print cases. Leo posed with every single child that was pushed in his direction by a parent too embarrassed to speak to him themselves—and even a few industry adults.

While DiCaprio made his way across the room, one camera click at a time, award season favorite Meryl Streep glided into the tea party and assumed greeting position next to Harvey Weinstein. Weinstein, who has a few horses in this season's award race Weinstein, who has a few horses in this season's award race including The Iron Lady, The Artist, and My Week With Marilyn, had been guiding his other prize actress, the petite and timid Michelle Williams, around by the elbow. But no one, not even Weinstein, dare lead Streep by the elbow. "I'm looking for my tea!" the Iron Lady star laughed, before locating her misplaced cup of the event's suggested beverage on a table. "We are at a tea party, aren't we?" Really, it didn't seem like we were. But with that, your blogger's one-sided interaction with our greatest actress alive ended. And none too soon, because just then, DiCaprio approached and opened his arms to hug Streep, who played his mother in Marvin's Room .

Very well said .

As I , too, noticed him dashing about to each table, but your description of what he was doing is priceless :)

And , yes, from watching the Osars closely for past several years, I've sadly come to realize it is more about schmoozing excellence versus acting excellence

Whereas, when I was a teenager, I truly believed that the award was given based soley on best performance. When I learned the reality versus my fantasy, it was a shock.

But now, as I mentioned to Barbie, I don't get as emotionally upset with the Oscar games , as I know what to expect , how things are played.

And, yes, I agree , there is a difference between attending pre Oscar events and socializing versus whoring oneself for an Oscar

If to get a prize Leo need to do scenes on this game and pretend to be THE mister sympathetic, I prefer that he gets nothing

Okay, cannot describe how pissed I was that George won. I wasn't expecting leo to win anyway, but even in georges thank you speech he didn't even mention leo. What an AssWh*le. :/ And I don't know if anyone else noticed, but when they zoomed in on leos face when he george accepted, he looked a little pissed! :o

But thank you all for all the Globe pics, and vids, and articles

And I realized something about these awards. They are not for talent. They are for your PR skills. :/

I watched the interview shine posted the link, he really looked cute and what an adorable smile, but still I have to say that I feel looking at him that he wasn't happy, he wasn't ok, I don't like to see him like that. :/ Well, this is my impression. :(

ox: thank you so much for the sweet articles.

I was thinking the same thing! It actually looked like leo wasn't enjoying himself at all last night, everytime they zoomed in on his face, he looked bored, and thought it was dumb. The only time I saw leo looking happy was when Martin won best director. :/

Such a sad thing, :cry:kat.

He looked bored. The whole show was boring.

You can't really expect him to be beaming constantly.

Though as you said, he did look happy for Marty!

A possible chance to see Leo today !

As we've all noticed , we haven't seen Leo courtside at any Lakers' games thus far.

However it is a big game for any Lakers' fan, as the Lakers take on last year's NBA Champs the Dallas Mavericks.

So, I think if Leo is going to show before heading back to Sydney it will be tonight. Are you listening , Leo ? ? ?

It will be shown on TNT tonight at 9:30 ET :)

I don't know if he was sad per se. I would think more bored or uncomfortable since he never seems to dig these type of things. Also, we've known for weeks that he had a small chance at winning so his people probably had to know and passed the information onto him, so I don't think he was at all surprised by not winning.

thank you all for the photos and videos.

I saw the show yesterday and, although Leo didn't seem to be in particularly joyful mood, he didn't look disappointed to me when Clooney won. I think he knows this game better than all of us, and he was expecting the result. He was probably just waiting patiently for the whole thing to be over.

I guess it's not the most pleasant thing in the world to appear in award shows when you (or your film) is not the frontrunner and you go in expecting to lose. But he has to do it, it's part of his job to promote and support his film, especially when the film needs it.

As for Clooney not mentioning Leo... I was more surprised that he didn't give a shout-out to Gosling, since he was nominated for a film he directed! That was bad form, I thought, (even with Gosling not being there). The Fassbender mention was made because Clooney had to include a joke, and if he could get away with a racy one, the Globes was the place to do it.

Fair or not, this is not Leo's year and he knows it. But instead of quitting the "season", he does what he should, always remaining a professional and a dignified presence at awards shows.

It's probably the comparison of

George and Brad ; LOOK AT ME

Leo: DON'T LOOK AT ME

that makes him seem a little sad/uncomfortable :p

At least we see a lot of Leo in this way ;)

Hope we'll see something Lakes/Erin related soon :)

Any chance?

ITA.

Also ITA, wijn.

Leo just has never had that type of personality at award shows where he wants attention drawn to him for any reason other than like...say the film winning/someone in the film winning/or himself winning. I just think he feels like a weirdo at these things at times. IDK why I get that vibe but he just seems uncomfortable to the max a lot of times, especially when a camera just randomly pops up in his face and airs his face to millions of viewers in unexpected moments. But that's Leo. Aw. :D
