And Killa I am sooo with you! Gemmas one of the most sucessful and famous models out there, and one of my favs, and shes joining the cast!!! I'm so excited!!!!!! :clap: I am so curious to see what part she'll have in the movie!! :woot:

Hi All, long time no see. :wave: Glad to hear that Gemma is joining the cast. Just curious, has she been in any movies prior to this one? So far, the director has chosen top notch actors so I am assuming that she has some acting chops.

I too hope we get more Leo sightings, especially with Blake (although I enjoy the pics of Leo with his friends just as much). Maybe they will be a bit more relaxed about the paparazzi in Australia like they were in Italy? Anyway, hopefully we will have lots of new photos to drool over soon. (I feel slightly guilty admitting that because I know Leo hates being stalked by the paps, yet we eagerly wait for new pictures, essentially driving up demand for new pics! Oh well, what can you do? :blush: )

Hi Chi. Gemma was in Pirates of the Carribean the last one that just came out.. Just researching her and she's had a love of acting since she was small and she's been in a few other smaller movies. So she's got some experience atleast :) Also just saw that NextMovie.com named her one of the 'Breakout Stars to Watch for in 2011. She's Australian too.. Baz likes to use a good mix of Australian actors in his movies, so I bet that helped a bit as well :p

James Toback Is Not Happy About Scorsese and DiCaprio's 'Gambler' Remake

If Martin Scorsese, one of the greatest directors of all time, was planning on remaking a film that you wrote (and one that was loosely based on your life), you'd have to be pretty pleased, right? Well, not if you are James Toback.

Toback is the man behind the 1974 film 'The Gambler,' starring James Caan (who was nominated for his role as Axel Freed) and Paul Sorvino. So why is Toback upset that Scorsese, along with Leonardo DiCaprio, will be remaking his classic? Well, because they never gave poor James a heads up that it was being done.

Toback recently took to Deadline to voice his complaints about the whole situation. The letter he wrote is pretty fascinating, and if you are a fan of the film, it's worth reading in its entirety. However, the stuff regarding his displeasure with the remake is below.

It might seem odd that my initial response to the news of the purported remake would be something south of "flattered and honored," but the truth is that my main feeling was one of disbelief that I was learning of these plans at the same time and in the same fashion as any of the regular devoted readers of this column. It struck me as particularly odd since I have been a friend and unlimited admirer of Leonardo [DiCaprio]'s since our initial encounter in 1994 when we were, in fact, all set to close a deal on his playing the lead in 'Harvard Man' ... Equally odd was not hearing anything from Irwin Winkler who, I was soon to learn, is to be the producer on this projected new version as he was on the original

And about Gemma, fash pretty much explained it! She does have some acting experiance, but is defiently known more in modeling than she is in acting. I am sooo curious to find out what part she will play! As all the major parts have been taken, but we'll have to see what she plays!

But the article says her part is significant, so I can't wait! Shes gorgeous! :heart: One of my fav models :wub:

^Thanks Princess! Cool that the cast seems to be hanging out and bonding and its nice to see Carey and Tobey hanging out! I want some pics of Leo hanging out with Carey!! I mean they are going to be kissing/lovers and whatnot, I would think they would want to get to know eachother better! :p I also wonder where Leo was at! :blink:

And Gemma is indeed beautiful but I can't say she's a good actress (only see two movies with her, both small participations) but I know she has experience. She was the evil mermaid in the new Pirates of the Caribean movie!

Very cute pics of Tobey and Carey. I also hope we can get pics of the couple :wub: but if there were pics, the Aussie media would have published them by now since they aren't bound by the same embargo as U.S. media. And Leo and his models haha... well, if they could get through the whole Anna J. incident, I'm sure they'll be fine :p

Umm yeah we shouldn't get too worried about Gemma! Just because a girls a model doesn't mean leos going to want her! :laugh: :p Its not the first time a model has been in one of his movies! Remember Josie Moran in the Aviator? Shes also soooo gorgeous!!

and yeah aOMG I'm doubting there are pics of them also. Buttt at least I know he was spending time with his lady :wub:
