I don't know if this has been reported yet but:

NEW YORK — Late-game Super Bowl advertisers scored extra ratings points for their bucks as viewership for the cliffhanger between the New England Patriots and New York Giants surged north of 100 million.

The single most-seen ad in the game, media ratings service The Nielsen Co. reported Thursday, aired in the fourth quarter: At 9:44 p.m. ET, 103.7 million viewers watched sultry Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima flirt in lingerie.

"It was a bargain relative to all other media and advertising," says Ed Razek, chief creative officer for Limited Brands, (LTD) which owns Victoria's Secret. "We're very pleased with the results. We were the only commercial in the Super Bowl that recognized the Super Bowl, recognized our timing and recognized our brand."

Lima is Number 4 on Models.com Moneymaker models

This Bahia Brazil beauty comes off of 2007 with two big bonanza contracts for Maybelline and Victoria's Secret. You can rest assured the scale of those contracts keep Adriana in the dream club of the industry's most wanted. Plus you always want to keep it in mind that her legendary GQ cover was one of the biggest selling issues of that magazine ever! That's what you call power beauty

Victoria’s Secret is trying to recalibrate. Fourth-quarter sales of fragrance and the collegiate-inspired Pink label grew, but sales of bras, panties and beauty products declined. Turney said the company will aim its marketing and merchandise at 26-year-olds, holding extensive focus groups and walking through malls with them. The company did similar research when it launched Pink, which has become a staple in dorm rooms

Turney pointed to the company’s Super Bowl ad this year as an example of its new direction. The spot featured model Adriana Lima in a black lace tank top and undies seductively tossing a football as she lounged in a chair.

Okay, it seems like I intercepted some pretty cool info and we're currently discussing it at AFL.com

It appears that Adriana is in Mexico City today to be honored at the Fashion Fest. This is an honor previously given to other big models such as Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford etc.

It most likely means that she'll be walking the runway, doing a press conference and a big campaign (which apparently includes magazine spreads and TV commercial). It's a pretty big thing in Mexico apparently (according to our Mexican friend on AFL.com) and gives a lot of exposure to the model.

Anyway, we're trying to confirm this. I hope it turns out to be true because it would be another great step for Adriana in 2008.

Will keep you posted.

This is only indirectly related to Adriana but I wonder if it's true:

March 05, 2008. A couple of months ago Selita Ebanks looked like she was shaping up to be the new face of Victoria's Secret - but now things have changed. MediaTakeOut.com is hearing that the lingerie giant is slowly distancing themselves from the Caribbean beauty.

Word is that the company got a lukewarm response from Selita's campaigns while getting a great response from models Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima. And that as a result, Selita won't have any major campaigns in the near future.
