José Picayo was born in Havana, Cuba in 1959. He was raised by loving parents and has 4 brothers and one sister. In 1966 his family left Cuba and moved to Puerto Rico. They then moved to Kent, Ohio in 1975 where he attended high school and Kent State University for 2 years. In 1981 José left Kent for New York to complete his studies at Parsons School of Design. He received a BFA in 1983. José assisted various photographers for 5 years after college and started working commercially as a photographer in 1987. He has worked on many projects, both editorially and commercially, for clients around the world. His clients include Harper's Bazaar, Rolling Sone, LA Times Magazine, Esquire, New York Magazine, House & Garden, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Martha Stewart, New York Times Magazine, Anne Klein, Neiman Marcus, Nine West, Nordstrom, West Elm and Willams Sonoma. José is also represented by the Robin Rice Gallery in New York City where he has had numerous solo and group exhibitions. He is currently working on upcoming exhibitions at the Robin Rice Gallery (Fall of 2015) and the Erie Art Museum, Erie, PA (February 2016). josepicayo.com

While in high school Marian Moneymaker had been asked to model in a local fashion show. It wasn’t until she was 30yrs old while working in a restaurant Marian was introduced to the Events Director at I. Magnin They loved her so much they booked her for all of their fashion shows. She eventually signed with an agent in San Fransisco who then sent her to NY to join the prestigious Eileen and Jerry Ford’s model agency. Marian would fly all over the country for bookings. Although Marian was working regularly she felt he had to leave the modeling world to raise her two young daughters as she was a single parent. Marian found herself being asked again by I. Magnum to work their fashion shows.. a young designer Donna Karan was launching her line, Marian was the model who opened her show. As Marian’s children grew up, she started taking more and more out of town bookings. Marian is now featured in the Miu Miu fall campaign which was shot by the infamous Steven Meisel.
