  1. Follow-up This corresponds to the 1st half of the 20th century. This was never the case in any other centuries. First, because for thousands of years, the main job for the workforce was farming (a very hard job at the time - men/women were in the fields and women were lucky when they could take a break and do house chores). The patriarchy is a fantasy about the past that wokism has invented out of thin air. History books don't show such caricature except for a tiny period (1st half of 20th century give or take - maybe you could say 1850 to 1980 if you wanted to be broader, but not before or after).
  2. Follow-up The 00s (and the 90s to some extent). Could you be more specific? Are we talking about movies or history? If it's history, there are many things to say about how homosexuality was treated in history. In Ancient Greece/Rome, gay people were recognized and it was fully accepted. Then in the rest of history, it's an oscillation between uphill and downhill moments. But it's not: past is bad, modern days are great. If it's the movies, gay people were better treated in the 90s and 00s than now, where they are treated like tokens. When did we trivialize violence against women in the West?? Never. You could say India or Saudi Arabia trivialize these violences... but it's not even in their movies either! People can't trivialize violence in movies that are supposed to (most of the time) show some ideal.
  3. Here goes, for the rest of the conversation I love Indie productions (not just in movies, but also video games or music). The thing with good movies is that they can be costly and it's an oligopoly (Hollywood has the dominant player – with big studios – and the rest as the competitive fringe). It's hard for the fringe to fight, which is less the case in video games and really really less the case for music (anyone can do good music, they'll just lack the marketing campaigns, but word of mouth can be very efficient. Fair enough. I like action, sci-fi and adventure movies (which are very costly to produce...) When I was a kid, masterpieces were released every couple of months. Not any more. It's not about the money. It's about the “cult” mentality (wokism) that reigns over Hollywood. Ideology dumbs people down.

Fair enough, maybe it's for another thread, so I'll answer in another thread In the meantime, here is a relevant video from another point of view (and no it's not about this shapiro dude, he's on the picture, but it's not about him - I say that because I understand that he triggers a lot of passionate reactions )
  5. Human, with a multi-class fighter/wizard. Next time, I think I'll choose Paladin or pure fighter (Eldrich knight). Spells are interesting, but kinda costly in a combat (at least from what I understand in the combat mechanics). Cantrips seem to be less costly (they just cost an action point). I really like Shadowheart as a companion. She's the kinda girl I like.
  6. About 10 hours, I tried several builds to see how the game mechanics works (they're not simple!). I'm doing the "investigate Kagha" mission at the moment. All in all, it's a solid game! Very original.
  7. ^ She has great shaped bewbs. Her main default is that she's a smoker, but apart from that, she's great.

  9. The game is really really good.
  10. (these are called media influence campaigns, some companies are specialised in reputation destruction on social media).
  11. ^ I'm not sure I follow you. In the case of Disney Star Wars, fans got really angry at Kathleen Kennedy and her team whose obsession was gender, race and identity... to the detriment of good story telling. Maybe Andor is good, but Miss Kennedy and her goons have tainted Disney SW. In the case of BG3, I don't understand the backlash. This game is great (the only complaint one may have are some minor technical problems). I'm starting to think that the campaign is orchestrated by other big studios to sabotage the competition

  13. I also don't understand the "elitist" argument. Don't the customers want to become a better version of themselves? Don't they want to dream about greater things? (again, I don't know the lingerie market, so maybe there has been a shift and customers don't want that any more)
  14. ^ the mismatch between quality and price seems to be a good argument. I can see why sth like this annoys the customers. On the other hand, the "inclusivity" thing doesn't convince me that much. From a purely "marketing" perspective (meaning that we put aside any political views), it seems that getting woke divides the customers and sometimes bring up huge backlash (like for Budlight). I can't see it as a good marketing strategy, but I'm not an expert of the lingerie market, so I'd be really curious to see what analysts said (even though sometimes, analysts don't know what they're talking about as well )
  15. Très intéressant. Le communisme n'a jamais été la solution à aucun problème. Jamais. L'histoire l'a montré à de très nombreuses reprises.
  16. Another result of toxic feminism. These monsters hate maternity, so of course they have to break the mother-child trust. Sick
  17. And I suggest you watch this movie next (just to make your own opinion of course ) This is real cinema.
  18. ^fair enough, why not. But it still has nothing to do with a harem of wives...
  19. ^ Yep and I trust myself that I don't want to waste 2 hours of my life (and 15€) on this spiteful movie BTW, the only person you should trust to understand the history of men/women relationship is yourself (and not the media). Just an idea
