The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Feminism (in the West in 2023) is the defence of special privilege for women. We are all equal before the law, but feminism wants women to get special rights. I don't see what virtues it holds. What are the rights that women don't have in the West? Feminism in India or Saudi Arabia is the fight for equal rights. Not in the West.

I'm French, I can name you all the feminist leaders in France. All of them have a record of misandrist quotes (Men are trash, men are useless, men are oppressors, etc.)

Feminist leaders represent feminism and most of them (those vocal in the media) are misandrists. Men is not a club, it's not even a movement (unlike feminism). Masculinism might be a movement (very fringe though) but not "men" (like "women" is not a movement).

This French feminist said "we must, in turn, eliminate them" (men). She's not fringe, she's mainstream. And she's a politician, elected in Paris' "city council". https://www.lefigaro.fr/vox/societe/alice-coffin-pauline-harmange-quand-des-feministes-haissent-ouvertement-les-hommes-20201007

Not you, but that's what we hear from neo-feminism every day. One French feminist wrote a book that said "we need to erase men" and she got covered by the press.

But the biggest point was that this voting issue is just a very transient one (19th / 1st half of 20th century). And this cannot justify all the misandry that neo-feminism is spewing all day long.

1) Easy. All of Catherine 2's wars. 2) Men is not a club (like women). It's not because a dude starts a war that all dudes are bad. This rule applies for many many things.

Tim made a good analysis. The woke barons in the media are furious that his song works so well.

I think a huge part of the disrespect that feminists have for men is due to the fact that we have to face less hardships than before. But western women don't realize that they live in a lot of confort (way more than western men). The thing is that this "confort" is just an heritage of the hard work put by our grandfathers and grandmothers. I'm afraid that this all boils down to this again:- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Or Private Caparzo who died because he saved a little girl. How many Caparzos were there in real life? They didn't care about feminism or patriarchy, they just cared about saving lives.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
I will tell you this, my friend. It's hard for me to hear that Private Ryan or Captain Miller were privileged guys, while they put their lives on the line to defend their families. This woke feminism thing doesn't make sense any more.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Exactly, it's a social contract. When these contracts are fair, they can last for long periods of time. The 2023 woke vision of the social contract is unfair and unbalanced, so it won't last long... either it's crushed by a better movement or the West will be swallowed by outside forces with more vitality.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" Even in the 1st mid of 20th century, life wasn't easy for men: a huge portion of them died protecting their families against nazis for example. Your grandpa was probably a part of this... That's not a patriarchy to be sent to die in order to defend your family.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Before the 1800s, most men were not allowed to vote, go to school or study, they couldn't choose their jobs, they did not choose their wives (the village would organise that). Most of men were field workers. The average guy couldn't even read... You are talking about a short period of time throughout history mid 19th to mid 20th century more or less), but history started 5 000 years ago (and homo sapiens 300 000+ years ago). Look at history books, I know you're a conscientious person.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP

@Jade Bahr If you want a broad summary of my last post, this meme is closer to reality than the "patriarchy myth" (though it's not perfect either) In reality, for thousands of years, society was divided in: - a tiny ruling class (where men tended to have the upper hand - though not always) - the rest of the population who were way below (I don't think men were below women like it's shown in this graph, because both men/women had their struggles, but men had lives full of hardships, because of: working in the fields, fighting against nature, wars, etc. => you can't call that a patriarchy). Caution: It's a very broad scheme and reality is way more complex, but this is way more accurate than: "we've been in a patriarchy for zillions of years and now women are liberated". This patriarchy myth is completely disproved by history.
