I'm pissed at this mouse company. They're disgusting and when I think of it, it's not that surprising that they teamed up with EA in the gaming industries.
^ They destroy canon, because George gets royalties on his characters. They destroy canon, because they want to force-feed our minds with identity politics. They destroy canon, because they think that woke crowds are docile audience (which is wrong, woke crowds are mostly psychos who will eat you alive the minute you make a "false move"). The little mouse company is disgusting The few minutes during which Ricky Gervais smashed the snobbish bullies from Hollywood were more entertaining than the past years of Hollywood "entertainment".

I think they were shy because they were afraid of the reactions. They wanted to play safe. They established a couple of good things, planted a couple of seeds and they have to make them bloom now. The storyline is too simple, but with the ideas that they brought in the last chapter, I'm sure there are lots of good things to make in season 2.
Yes, climate change has a huge impact and it's anthropogenic. Yes, it's important to take care about the environment. Yes and a thousand times yes, but the left politicians are the ones who make the denial grow. They are bullies, snobbish and uneducated bullies, whose despise their population (the "deplorables"), and this condescension is what annoys people and makes them want to disagree. Scientists who study the climate change are talented people. Politicians from the left who supposedly care about the environment are mostly talentless. Most of the top politicians don't know the first thing about science. I've met some of them, talked to them, they are clueless. Even worse: they don't really care about these issues, their real interest are power and identity politics. Look at Greta (the truant who hasn't made it through high school), she cares more about the "patriarchy" (which is one of the dumbest conspiracy theories) than about the planet. The media call her a prophet now (they are the cultists) The left media and politicians have made a mockery about a real issue. With friends like them, who needs enemies?
Yes, it is, but people like it because at least it hasn't been contaminated by identity politics like the rest of Star Wars. The Last Jedi was a talentless movie with a flawed scenario, weak characters and some "Woke mortar" to fill the plot holes. TLJ was the start of a deadly strategy, started by rich and snobbish Hollywood writers who wanted to alienate the traditional fans (the "deplorables", i.e. people who aren't snobbish millionaires ) and to replace them with a docile crowd (the woke audience who don't care about entertainment). It a was disgusting (and extremist) strategy. So, for people who genuinely love SW (and don't care about politics) the Mandalorian is a little beacon of hope.

They kinda did it to Tolkien's work with The Hobbit movies (particularly the third one).
It's not contradictory. Disney hates the traditional fans because it's an audience who's picky and not easy to manipulate. I mean there are people who spend hours analyzing the consistency of every little detail. The videos, the books, the debates on Star Wars are plentiful, some people literally spend their lives reflecting upon SW's mythology. So, it's gotta be hard to content them (but at the same time, it's a challenge, if you manage to make them happy, then it means you're truly talented in the art of storytelling). On the other hand, they thought that people who love identity politics were easier to please. Just add a dash of politics and they'll be happy whatever the quality of the movie (at least that was their reasoning). True, I am mad
Nobody said it's a conspiracy. It is a marketing strategy. Hear people out before judging them, friend. Of course it's about the money, but to make money, you need a marketing strategy. It means that you try to target a certain audience. With TFA and TLJ, they realized that the traditional fans are picky. A good marketing strategy would've been to try to listen to the fans (who mainly ask for quality and consistent scenarios), but Disney is a lazy company. So, they decided to ignore this market segment and to target a new one: people (nujobs ) who love identity politcs. They thought that the market potential was huge (that's particularly true for TLJ, but they tried to play both sides in TROS - though they ended up failing). Also, playing with identity politics pleases the mainstream media, so it's good exposure for them. It's simple really and it's no conspiracy.
