No wonder why people don't take the mainstream media seriously. They are under the heavy influence of powerful companies. Shilling their asses to get promotion. It's funny because they are so weak that they're the ones who seek to be promoted by big studios... Real journalism = facts, figures and fair opinion. Weak journalism = big studios ask journalists try to promote their products. 2020 Shill journalism = the gaming journalists seek to be promoted by big studios
Whether you like PC or not, this story we're discussing is very interesting. It's the story of a game called "the Last of Us II" produced by Naught Dogs. Plots of the game have been leaked, allegedly by an employee that has been abused (financially and/or morally) by the company. Allegedly, the writers killed beloved characters and replaced them with zeitgeist obsessions. This company hired Anita S., a very influential feminist (known for harassing individuals and blackmailing gaming companies), whose company went bankrupt last year. Now, her employees work for her for free (just like Carole Baskin, they abuse people with good faith ). After the leaks, Sony and Naught dog went nuts and used a shady shell company to attack/sue/shut down anyone that disagrees with them. All in all, it's a story of how big oligopolies abuse their powers, how they can fall prey to ideologues and how divisive politics generate backlashes, which clash with their totalitarian dreams. Sad story. Very 2020.

They are really generating some Streisand effect with all this and their shady shell companies that try to shut channels down... Nobody would've cared if they had just laid low.
Well, this thread is love and you're welcome to come here whenever you want, because every opinion is allowed in a non-PC world.
Apparently, they're using shell companies to strike people on youtube with false claims in order to shut their channels down (and only the channels that didn't like the leaks of course...) What a bad strategy.... If they had done nothing, everybody would've forgotten the whole story in two weeks. Now they're making it a big deal. I thought they were smarter than that

Hmm, what a shitshow. I guess that the current events make their strategies more aggressive. I think that's a mistake, but only the future will tell us that.
Are they? Well that's weird, they're usually smarter than that.
Naughty Dog has mediocre PR... If their PR believes that gaming journalists have a bigger influence than youtubers/game bloggers, they really don't know their market. Naughty dog could've laid low and let the fire extinguish itself, but they didn't'... They're behaving like mad dogs which will only hurt themselves in the end. Customers and the real game influencers have a memory.
@Stromboli1 Don't worry, nobody listens to gaming journalists. Everybody knows they're shilling their asses just to appear on the cover of big games... Gamers are not victims, they don't let anybody tell them what to think. Look at this website that was created a couple of months ago (https://falloutfirst.com/) Gamers weren't happy of how Bethesday crippled the great Fallout franchise (pay-to-win system, lootboxes and lazy game design), so gamers bought the domain "falloutfirst.com" and called it "fallout f*** you first"
