The longest serving Premier League managers list... 1) Wenger 2) Pardew 3) Allardyce (watch this space?) 4) Rodgers 5) Lambert Rodgers was appointed the day before Lambert but they're basically the bloody old guard at this point!- Football
Its hard not to see similarities between the two sides, chiefly that both are much more designed to counter attack than dictate the play. There's been some derision about our possession stats in recent games but the truth is that us having 52% possession is largely a waste of time, we're just not good enough to make it count. In the end for all the huff and puff it was clear when Sunderland were all out of ideas and I thought our back line stood firm (though I fear Luna is a disaster waiting to happen). It'll be interesting to see what business Poyet will conduct in the window, that Fulham game right after the cup semi-final looks pivotal at the moment.- Football

Okay that's it, time for a winter break, four defeats on the spin and we haven't scored in 6 out of 9 home games this season. I mean even an already jaded old bore like me can't help but be dumbfounded by such ineptitude. Today Palace would have battered us were it not for Guzan but hey its all relative, they won anyway, chuckle chuckle. And of course tis the season so another game at Fortress Villa Park in two days time! Sort it out, Lambert/players/Randy!- Football

Couldn't really make a case for Jol staying on, though I don't keep too close an eye on teams even more drab to watch than my own. Still firmly expect Fulham to beat us 2-1 on Saturday by way of "response", presumably having been a goal down. My crystal ball reckons the equaliser will be a 88th minute penalty (Clark or Luna being responsible), while the winner will be in the 98th minute courtesy of Steve Sidwell, a volley from 25 yards. Line up your pennies and have a flutter, tell 'em I sent you.
