If the rumors are true and they use Season 2 to fill plot holes in the Disney Trilogy a lot of fans will move on. They even had a tie in in Season 1 which tries to validate it in TROS which truly destroys canon. I just need to accept that the OT, PT, and EU are my canon and just finally move on from Star Wars cause there's other franchises that I can latch on to because more bastardization is coming.

It's the best thing Disney Star Wars has done and that's saying something, the show is okay and not great. They show can't rely on just Baby Yoda for the upcoming seasons which is a recipe for disaster.

This basically sums up the Disney Trilogy and how I feel about it.

Aye If I'm not mistaken George Lucas and his family still gets royalties off of the OT & PT which if Disney remakes both trilogies they don't have to pay any money. I need to look this up to confirm it though. The Mandalorian is better and truly feels like old Star Wars.

My take is that Disney & Lucasfilm thought Star Wars would print them outrageous money and wouldn't fail, but here we are with the franchise on life support. I'm sure there will be a documentary in a few years documenting how mismanaged Disney Star Wars was from the beginning. Mark Hamill and John Boyega will definitely speak out in a few years too. This is Corporate Star Wars and it sucks. Disney left $1-$2 billion on the table with the movies and merchandise. The movies have been trending down since TFA, guess what Disney & Lucasfilm blamed the fans through the media for a lot of their shit decisions. They killed the Saga and there's no going back they will remake all the movies in 10-20 years. The Mandalorian is the best thing Disney Star Wars has done and it's okay, not great.
