Martin Scorsese Unveils Teaser From āKillers Of The Flower Moonā, His Apple & Paramount Movie Bound For Cannes Martin Scorsese was front and center at Paramountās CinemaCon session Thursday to show off the teaser for his Killers of the Flower Moon. Caesars Palace Colosseum Theatre gave him a huge cheer. āI designed to project this on a big screen. This is a big screen movie and thatās what we made,ā said Scorsese. See a new still from the movie and pics of Scorsese directing stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone below. āI could only make this picture with collaborators who are remarkable,ā he said. He emphasized that the movie reps his sixth with Leonardo DiCaprio, and his 10th with Robert De Niro, and his first with both of the Oscar winners together. Scorsese also gave a shoutout to Apple: āTheyāre real believers in cinema,ā saying the pic couldnāt be made without the streamerās support. The pic, which clocks in at 3 hours and 26 minutes, is making its world premiere at Cannes next month. āWhen this director is inspired by true stories, think about the results,ā said Paramount Pictures boss Brian Robbins, who introduced Scorsese today. Adapted for the screen by Eric Roth and Scorsese from David Grannās fact-based book, Killers of the Flower Moon is set in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror. The result was the formation of the FBI. Aside from DiCaprio and De Niro, the film stars Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion and Tantoo Cardinal. Howās the teaser? Intense. Like a gangster movie smashed with a Western in an fierce story about the glass between oil-hungry men and the Osage nation in Oklahoma. It begins with DiCaprio telling a Osage young woman, āYou have nice color skin. What color do you think that is?ā āMy color,ā she answers. Thereās shot of an Osage native covered in oil, De Niro telling DiCaprio, āthe Earth should come to us!ā Murders abound as the white man invades the land that didnāt belong to them. āLike buzzards circling our people,ā says one of the Osage natives. āI outta kill these white men who killed my family,ā adds another. The pic hits theaters on October 6. Source -

Damn apple knows how to tease us Martin Scorsese Debuts First Trailer for Twisty Mystery āKillers of the Flower Moon,ā Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro Martin Scorsese hit Vegas on Thursday. No, he wasnāt there to revisit the Sin City locale of āCasino,ā one of his mob masterpieces. He traveled to the gambling Mecca bearing his latest opus, āKillers of the Flower Moon,ā a labyrinthine story of murder and greed that, if he plays his cards right, might be one of this yearās major awards contenders. The āgreatest living directorā shared the first trailer for the film at CinemaCon, the annual conference of theater owners thatās been taking place this week. Based on David Grannās bestselling book, āKillers of the Flower Moonā is a true story, one that pulls back the curtain on a series of murders of wealthy Osage people that took place in the early 1920s after major oil deposits were discovered on their land. It also looks at how the newly formed FBI investigated the killings. āThis is a big screen movie, and thatās what we made,ā Scorsese said, promising a story told on an āepic scale.ā The film reunites Scorsese with two of his most frequent collaborators, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, as well as Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow and Lily Gladstone. āIād like to thank the entire Osage Nation,ā Scorsese said, praising them for āworking tirelesslyā to bring the story to life. And the movie sees DiCaprio and De Niro playing two schemers who would like to get their hands on the Osage wealth, even if it means blowing up, shooting or otherwise violently disposing of people. āI do love that money sir,ā DiCaprio tells De Niro, who portrays an immoral cable baron, in the trailer. āThis wealth should come to us,ā De Niro later advises. The trailer also depicts DiCaprio trying to seduce Gladstone, who he later marries. But Plemons, playing an upright lawman, may have other ideas. He warns DiCaprioās shadowy operator that he wants to find out who is responsible for all the carnage. āI was sent down from Washington D.C. to see about these murders,ā Plemons tells DiCaprioā āSee what about it,ā DiCaprio replies. āSee whoās doing it.ā Paramount teased the footage during its presentation. It is distributing the film, which was co-produced by Apple Original Films. With a $200 million budget and a runtime that tops out at more than 3 hours and 20 minutes, the film is vast in every sense of the word (moviegoers with weak bladders be warned!). It will debut at this yearās Cannes Film Festival before opening in theaters on Oct. 6. Scorsese wrote the screenplay with Eric Roth. Source -

^It's grannys legacy I guess. DiCaprio: She certainly loves Titanic, thatās her favorite movie. She always asks me why I donāt look as pretty as I did in Titanic, and that Iām very ugly in this movie [Blood Diamond] and I should put my hair back and walk down the stairs again!
