Except that she's been just as much of a dud popularity-wise as Izabel and Selita. I mean, what's the point in signing models with no American appeal and can't keep their figure? Same with Doutzen. VS just needs to bite the bullet and reduce the Angels to the group most proven with the public: Heidi, Adri, Ale, Marisa, and Miranda (and maybe Selita if you want to keep a black Angel). It's the most logical decision. On the contrary she has received tremendous publicity this year, even if its a lot of negative press regarding either her weight, or her belly button mystery, its still publicity. Plus wasn't she voted as the sexiest woman by E, I think that's quite big. I don't recall Marisa being on the list j/k. I am ok with Marisa, but somehow I just don't see her as an angel. She seems more of a girl next door from Cali with a laid back personality. Yes she might have a hot body, and she is very nice, but not for the status of an angel, at least not what the word meant during the years of Gisele or Tyra Banks. Doutzen does seem a bit boring now, but I think she will open up and be more carefree. VS just has to groom her, she is perfect for them in my opinion. I think Selita should be replaced by someone better. It boggles my mind as to why they keep her there. Definitely the worst of all the angel picks. And finally back to Karolina, her fame will only go up as she is doing some movies now. I actually think Candice might be a good replacement for Marisa and Emanuella De Paula to fill Selita's spot, though I would prefer they keep only 5 angels, but if they don't then this is what I think should happen, what do you think?

Agree, they did complement each other quite well. Karolina's track was very similar to that of Gisele, though obviously Gisele was much bigger, but Karolina accomplished a lot in high fashion. I would say stick with 5, but 6 is ok as well.

I also feel that the Brazilian era is over, at least for the time being. The concentration is now on Europeans, especially eastern Europeans. I wouldn't be surprised if the next angel is from there. It's a cycle I guess.

The word Angel has become a joke now, there is nothing exciting or exclusive about it as how it was when Gisele/Tyra were there. In my opinion Karolina was probably the only good choice for an angel post 2005. Doutzen is good too, but it seems so crowded having 9 so called angels.

I have to also say that Doutzen is going the Tyra route, she has a curvier body than many of the other angels and she is always talking about weight and what not. I can see The Doutzen Kroes show coming on in a few years.

Judging from the pictures alone, it looks like a vast improvement over 2006 and 2007, but still its not up to the standards of the 2005 show. The music again was hit and miss. The outfits improved but the over the top theatrics by the models in making kissing poses were corny as always. Regarding Lara's outfits, I think she probably had better outfits than many of the other girls and they actually suited her personality. I liked her last outfit better. Out of the new crop, Maryna, Anne V and Sessilee killed it! Miranda was better this year also.
