Season two felt a lot like a set up season to me. I get what they were trying to do with the “big bad” and Jessica’s turmoil but it didn’t really feel emotionally satifysing to me. I found myself more interested in the side characters like Malcolm and Trish, and found parts of this season a real slough. I like where they ended though, and am looking forward to season 3. Also wouldn’t have minded some crossover from the other Defenders. This season felt very isolated after having the big collaboration of The Defenders.

Thanks! I saw this on Gizele’s story today. Looks like the US got a different coupon book than Canada did, so these are new to me. Hopefully we get the pictures in better quality eventually.

The NA weren’t announced until the very last week of April, so it’s still possible there’s some lineup changes coming, but I don’t think any of the NA will be leaving, and I’m starting to think they’re not adding anyone either. They’ve all shot in the last month or so. If there are changes I would suspect it being Bee (she seems so over VS and modelling as a whole) or Lily (she hasn’t shot since November as far as I can tell) departing. Candice I’m iffy on- could go either way with her after her pregnancy.

I don’t even think it’s a seasonal thing- like Siemgi said- Dream Angels is always three blondes. Is it kind of a tone deaf choice to not shake things up in a era of embracing diversity? Yeah, for sure but I don’t think you can point at one commercial and go “racism!!” This Miami shoot actually had more WOC than VS usually uses, thanks to the inclusion of non-Angels. Gizele, Lais, Jasmine, Cindy, Herieth. Hopefully we get more shots of these women, especially the non-Angels because it is really refreshing to see some fresh faces. (Especially Herieth, who hasn’t had any shots released yet!)

Where are my location shots of Gizele? If all we get are that perfume campaign picture I will be upset. I hate that they only use that same tired song in all their commercials now, but it was a better commercial than they usually put out. Just walked past my VS store and they’ve changed their signage to the big window hangs of the blonde Trio and one of Cindy.

It’s really weird lighting and filters, and I don’t think it’s an official VS shoot. Martha and her boyfriend just take pictures at home for social media promotion.

I think a big part of Alexandria’s appeal on YouTube was that she was/is a model. Lifestyle/beauty vloggers are a dime a dozen nowadays, and her career was probably part of the reason she managed to gain such a following on YouTube. She definitely capitalizes on it- the majority of her videos are industry related: “My Make Up Routine for Castings,” “Model Diet!” “Life as a Model!” but I think that’s going to wear thin for her audience if she isn’t actually working as a model/won’t have fresh content? I also would have expected Alexandria to be getting a boost in fans from her YouTube channel, but she is losing social media followers every day. Add in that fact that she doesn’t have a consistent upload schedule(she hasn’t done anything for almost 6 weeks now) on YT, which is critical for success on that platform, Alexandria just seems really all over the place with her career.

I know it sold out online pretty immediately. Both of the VS stores that I went to when it was released had a pretty picked over selection by the time I got there, and that was the day of/day after the release, but I don't know how much stock they got in originally. It seemed pretty sparse. I looked at the collection and personally didn't think it was nice looking at all, and definitely not worth the price point (the hardware was cheap plastic, the designs were impractical) but I think they hit that sweet spot where it was still an affordable "splurge" item for the 14-17 yr old girls who think Balmain is the epitome of HF and luxury designer.

You were pretty dismissive of it though, and considering the last set of work posted in this thread was from July, I think it's not realistic to be expecting those level of brands yet. At least this is an international brand, with a strong presence in the NA market.
