Thanks for the news and pix everyone! Too bad about Costner, but it was a small part. I'm sure QT will find someone as good or better for the role. He's great at putting a cast together. Ha ha he's like the pied piper of the clubs.... wherever he goes, everyone follows. I expect the gossip columns and twitterers will have a field day with Leo going out to the clubs in the coming weeks, but we are used to this by now, yes? It does get old, but he shouldn't have to stop going out because of what they might say. They're in the business of getting attention or making money and will write what they want regardless, even when the pix and other accounts contradict what they say. Celebrities can't control it so they might as well live their lives. As long as they are true to themselves and their relationships, that's all that really matters. Besides, a club packed with people watching your every move would hardly be the place to go if you're fooling around, no? Just a thought...

Thanks everyone for the news and pix! So cute! He looks like Gatsby, but he's riding like Leo. I entered the contest for Oscar seats today... I have a lot more faith in him being there than me (and winning! ), but I knew I'd be kicking myself if I didn't at least try when I was watching him walk down that red carpet on TV. Me too! I'm a cheap date! About the now infamous quote from Armie's wife... I didn't comment on it yesterday, because I didn't know how I felt. My first reaction was "Well that's tacky." But that was quickly followed by "Ahhh sharing a bath with Leo! That is SO sexy!" But after seeing all the stupid reports that have come from that one quote, I'll go with my first reaction. Whatever happened was between Leo and her roommate. It was not something for her to share, especially not in a magazine. If she wants to get attention and impress the reporter so bad, let her talk about her own sex life. (But I still can't get the picture of Leo in a tub out of my head. )

Thanks for all the pix and news! My my what beautiful man. I'm not even a huge fan of the way they styled his hair or some of the clothes, but he looks absolutely smashing. My favorites are of him wearing the Armani gray pinstripe suit... how often do we get to see Leo in fitted pants? We need to see the outtakes! The pic Leo and Clint is awesome too, and the interview sounds really good from the excerpts. I hope they do more press together.

I can't help but think the Savages wardrobe dept have incorporated some of Blake's style into her character. Hmm the TIFF rep said she couldn't make it because of a delayed shoot. Maybe it wasn't filming but a photo shoot? The Laguna Beach locale is interesting... that's where the story of Savages is based, though I don't think they've actually filmed there (they were filming in Dana Point last week, which is very close). That's a great compliment from the author, aomg. Gena Rowlands is one of my all time favorite actresses! For what it's worth, I'm seeing nothing but good things about Blake's performance from the TIFF tweeters who mention the cast. The movie is another story... people seem to love it or totally hate it. That it's dividing the film festival crowd -- normally more adventurous viewers than most -- tells me it's probably going to be a very hard sell to the general public. Thank you for the AUS InStyle cover and interview, fash! Yes, I guess Blake will be watching over him and the rice baby from the newsstands

Consider the source. That's just one of a million tweeters desperately trying to be witty in 140 characters or less and failing miserably, like most do. But since it has been posted, I will challenge that statement. Aged better how? Because he wasn't a particularly attractive young guy? Sorry, I try to refrain from bitchy remarks about looks, but it's the truth. Leo was a gorgeous kid, and he's a gorgeous 36 going on 37 year old man. Gosling younger or older... meh, no comparison. He's a good actor and he seems like a nice guy, and that's more important.

But that's what makes us wary... one sighting, coming on the heels of a TIFF event organizer saying she wouldn't be able to make it because of changes to her filming schedule... and there have been no pix of her at a widely publicized event... Thanks kat! Was she scheduled to attend any events or parties during FNO? I didn't see anything, I just assumed. Vogue/Polyvore looks like an online contest. StyleBistro She was scheduled for TIFF, but Savages has been filming all week. They've done weekend shoots and night shoots before, and it's a closed set when they film indoors (remember the extra who took down her twitpic? ). Travolta has been the only sighting I've noticed, but those were outdoors scenes at the beach earlier in the week. They changed locations yesterday and I haven't seen any pix or sightings since. That was definitely not Blake at the Open. Jelena is very pretty though, and the tennis is really good.

I can totally see Clint doing this, being the former Mayor of Carmel, but I haven't seen it mentioned in anywhere else... you would think the trades and film blogs would be on to it if it were true? I checked the web site and all it says is "Check back in September after we've made our 2011 film selections." Big pic of Clint and his wife though. A hint? The Californian Masala Access Hollywood I feel badly about his lack of privacy, but he looks SO cute in those balcony pix. Thanks princess! I'm starting to wonder if there is any truth to the jewelry store story. I can believe Leo stopped in, but the part of about them thinking he was a thief... from the looks of the place, it's hardly Tiffany's. And that necklace is very pretty, but it's so big... I can't really picture his sweet petite mom wearing it (not like I know her, just an observation ). And if they really thought there was a chance he would come back for it, would they make a big play for publicity like this? They've seen how hard he tries to be discrete...

Thanks for all the news and pix! The Paul McCartney documentary that Leo is supposed to make an appearance in is airing this weekend on Showtime, starting Sept. 10 at 9:00 p.m. The good news: J. Edgar premiere will be down the street from me. The bad news: I can't afford a $1,500 pass. I've had luck scoring the free tix they set aside for non-passholders by waiting in line, but it doesn't sound like any will be made available for J. Edgar. The LACMA fundraiser sounds great too, but that one's realllly not in the budget. On the upside, it will keep Leo in town longer heheh... debating whether it's worth taking the week off just to, um, sightsee. He looks smashing! Thanks oxford! Great news! Thanks princess! Thank you for all the candid pix too! He looks so lovely. Thanks fash! Mmmm look at that smooth face... Reminds me of a comment made by one of the red carpet photographers when he attended the opening of the Dream Hotel in NYC last June. She noted how the high def close ups showed flaws for everyone in the pix except for Leo, who's skin still looked baby smooth... "He's got movie star skin." Oh man did you look at their menu? It would be death by chocolate for me! And their chocolate boxes... I need some of those "LOVE" truffles, like, NOW! Funny story! Thanks oxford! I just noticed on the TIFF page that Bob Dylan wrote the theme song for Hick. Very cool! Looks like a quality production all around. She was photographed last year at the airport so it's quite possible we might get some pics since it seems like the paps are camped at the airport right now. They usually introduce the director and actors at the beginning and do a Q&A after it ends. Sometimes fans are able to go down to the stage and meet them. It depends on the size of the theater and how tight security is. If she's finished with the Vogue contest, she may have already gone to Toronto for opening night festivities? Meh sounds like stalkerazzi sour grapes to me. If the fans were upset, we would never have heard the end of it on Twitter. I don't doubt she's tired and stressed out by the stalkerazzi and misses her man, but looking at these pix I'm thinking she's grossed out by Penny's fascination with the dirty sidewalk. My sister has young kids and I recognize that look.

Downey was rumored to have been offered the lead, but that was a long time ago when another director was involved, not Clint Eastwood. John Hamm was up for another role under same director, not the lead. Or maybe he was offered the lead as well... don't know, and don't really care since it doesn't involve Leo, tbh. Didn't hear Leo's name until Clint came on board, but he turned it down.
