  1. Haha that would be fun... But I would have to buy a $100+ ticket to drink scotch to get a chance to win, and frankly they'd have to pay me $100+ to drink scotch because that stuff tastes horrible. My dad loves it, though... I will mention it to him. Thanks oxford! Another tweeter to keep on eye on, but for next week... this means press screenings should be starting up soon... http://twitter.com/#!/K7RTI5H0093R K7RTI5H0093R Kurtis Hooper May be seeing J. Edgar a little early next Tuesday if anyone wants a review or a tid bit of info. 46 minutes ago
  2. Ok, we have to remember these people and go back to their Twitter pages to see if they post anything after it's over... I'll include links for that purpose http://twitter.com/#!/carmelfilmfest http://twitter.com/#!/MarcsBeat http://twitter.com/#!/JulesKrist http://twitter.com/#!/TedNapolitano TedNapolitano 5 min ago 2night seeing the US premiere of #J. Edgar- directed by #ClintEastwood. I'm very excited for this! ETA: D'oh! Already posted -- thanks oxford! Ohh ok, yeah, I read back and I guess she was talking about what the tabs are saying. Tbh, I wouldn't know the extent of what is being said regarding Leo's personal life because I don't read past the headline anymore. Nanda, I'm guessing that would be Grey Goose (vodka) unless they have random geese roaming around the bar.
  3. Counting down to J. Edgar... screening should just be starting. Entertainment Weekly FWIW, I haven't seen much if any negative talk about Leo on the Blake forum here, and Grazia will always be one of the rank tabloids in my book, whether they're talking about Leo, Blake, or whomever.
  4. Looking for J. Edgar news and came up with a little Gatsby instead... gonna be a very Merry Christmas indeed aomg, that's one reason I became a Blake fan: I've been impressed with how she has handles herself (among the other reasons are Elvis and Annabelle and Private Lives of Pippa Lee, she is great in both )
  5. You're right. Reports like those about Leo are usually dismissed out of hand on the board, and rightly so considering the sources. I've done it many times myself (check my past posts) before I decided not to comment altogether. But Blake fans here have been by my estimation fair to Leo and I'd like to return the favor. Since this Grazia sourced article was repeated over here, I'll repeat what I said. All I know for certain is this: Numerous sightings and pix had Blake on the set, with her family, or with Leo throughout their relationship. There were no sightings or pix of her partying or hanging out with Ryan or any other man until someone saw them on a train together, and that was on the eve of the official breakup announcement. She has a history of not talking much about her love life to the press. She and Leo never made an official statement on whether they were dating or not (even after it became pretty obvious with the pap pix.) I don't see why she should be obligated to respond to gossip and rumors about whom she is dating, especially now that she is single. There were a couple Leo reports from a newspaper and a radio station in Sydney during the weeks prior to that train sighting about him having his security bring attractive women to his table at the clubs and I don't recall him confirming or denying them -- and that was long before any official announcement had come down. This is not to say there was anything going on or that he had to respond. I'm just acknowledging the fact that he chose not to, and no one here made an issue of his lack of response at the time that I can remember. Those who are inclined to believe the worst because Blake might be dating Ryan now are probably not going to believe her publicist confirming or denying anything (too many already act like she's the only person who has a publicist). ET and the rest are trying hard to bait her into responding, and you know it wouldn't stop with a simple "Yes we're dating." They won't be happy unless she tells them details like when she and Leo split, were there any other people involved, etc. It's a slippery slope. (Fingers crossed for a barrage of J. Edgar news tonight - I know I need it! )

marifrancs, they're just repeating what other sites have said, including the same tweets that got the ball rolling. Thanks Sick and everyone for all the scans, pix, and vids! So does this mean we might be getting a new campaign (or cover) soon? Can't freaking wait!! I really hope it's for Chance Eau Tendre since perfume campaigns tend to be more iconic. Exciting! Happy to hear she got to hang out with her friend Flo tonight, too. Apparently her buddy Jeremy Renner was there as well... She's always so good on Letterman. I thought it was the chemistry between her and Dave, but she was great with Leno, too (and I'm not even a Leno fan). Thanks Anil or the article. As much as some of us rag on GG, that it has made her a household name in a huge country like China is pretty darn cool (as are the clothes). They seem to work around her schedule for films (at least they did with Savages), and at one time Gatsby was going to be filmed in NY (they went to Oz because the govt. kicked in big $$ to film there). Don't know the answer to your other question, but I doubt she invited herself. She is friendly with Baz Luhrman. He wrote that piece about her for Time 100 Most Influential People issue. oh so lively, I agree with you about the script certain tabloids are following but when they're so blatantly obvious about it they ruin whatever remaining cred they might still have in some circles.
  9. I'm so sorry for your loss, Nanda. Big hugs to you For some reason I thought it was going to be on the 13th, but I just checked and it is Friday night (and upon realizing this, yes it has occurred to me to call in sick and drive up there, but I would be absolutely crushed if I didn't get in... but I am feeling a little under the weather *cough* ). She's at the top of my list for actresses I want to see him work with again (along with Kate W and Naomi Watts). Thank you oxford and aomg for all the articles. Ditto. Love both of them, hope they are happy and still friends HI Pami I took four years of Spanish in high school so I know 'nada' Welcome lola

If they have, they obviously missed this one from October 8 sarahloukiernan 8 Oct OMG KEVIN BACON IS SHOOTING A MOVIE SCENE IN BOSTON RIGHT NOW AND IM WATCHING AND RYAN REYNOLDS OMGGGGGGGG AND BLAKE LIVELY OMG WAIT WTF IM DYING After math of the car falling off a building.....kevin bacon and Ryan Reynolds both touched these cars. yfrog.com/nuyl2dkj I tend to believe this one because she bothered to include a pic of the set, and they've been filming on Saturday's. I don't recall GG doing many Saturday shoots. Maybe they came back to NY on Saturday night. I know what you mean, but as we all know Grazia, Ok, Now, Star, etc are not only are the lowest of the low when it comes to credibility, they have also shown their love of pitting women against each other. You rarely see men treated the same way in their pages. A quick glance at the Google news shows other gossip sites are already laughing at the Ok "report." Sandra Bullock has flat out stated she's not dating Ryan and never has. Ryan has a solid rep as a good friend to women -- as I said, the type of person I'd be happy to see any of my faves dating. It could be a lot worse, believe me.
  11. REMINDER: This is LEO'S thread. The FOCUS of posts should be about LEO; his work, projects, and other activities (including his social life) that can be objectively verified (i.e, news articles, photographs, videos, etc). I wish I had some news to share, but I've got nada, sorry... frankly I haven't had the stomach to wade through the ugly... stuff out there to try and find it, nor the time (sorry for anyone who's PM's I haven't returned yet, been very busy). Many thanks to those who have better sleuthing skills and more patience than I for finding film news. Wake me when J. Edgar opens.

Thanks for all the pix and articles! Welcome Sannei, marifrancs, and Gelling! Aw Elvis and Annabelle. Such a great movie! Thanks valentina! Woody Allen? I thought I was the only one. Yeah he's a creep and he's had more misses than hits lately, but when he's on... I love Diane Keaton and his kind of comedy / drama so much. I definitely wouldn't want to see another young actress playing the role of young girl crushing on actor playing Woody, but I would love to see her in one of his films. Kathryn Bigelow would be on my list as well. There are so many big names I admire that I would love to see any of my fave people work with, but if I had to pick specifically for Blake I'd start with more indies from good young directors and women directors since she did so well in Elvis and Annabelle and Pippa Lee. Beyond that, my dream list would include directors like Scorsese, Spielberg, Eastwood (of course, of course, of course ), Tarantino (Uma and Blake as sisters or something would be AWEsome ), Alexander Payne, Wes Anderson, Chris Nolan, PT Anderson.... all have done wonderful, smart movies with great ensemble casts. I'm drawing a blank on actors (it's been a loong day ), but my almost any Englishman, Irishman, or Scot would do. Most of my all time fave actresses are older (Diane K, Meryl, Gena Rowlands), but I'll add Gwyneth to the list (since she's already worked with GP's mom), and I've already mentioned Uma. Oh you mentioned Jessica Lange -- love her too. She reminds me of Blake, especially the voice. Genre: Something set in 60s/70's (I think I've been inspired by her Glamour shoot ), or a modern day comedy / drama (how's that for general? ) Anil, I would not fret. She's not usually all smiles when the paps are up in her face (she and her bodyguard seem to be laughing a bit about her trying not to trip in front of them in the pix aomg posted). Ryan, Ryan... friends or more than that, they're both single so as long as she's happy, I'm happy for her. I'm not a fan, but he seems like the kind of person I'd like to see any of my faves with.

Thanks for all the pix! She looks lovely, as usual. She does need that Elie Saab dress. I think a light tan might also suit that dress well, but I do love her pale look. It looks like Oliver Stone knows a lot about the subject. I read Don Winslow's next book will be a pre-quel to Savages. I wonder if they will have some of the same characters... I'm really looking forward to this movie. Aw that was a sweet story about her smile. I think she has a beautiful voice.
  14. No, we don't. All I know is Blake was reported to be single since October of last year, and in a couple long term relationships before that. I love Leo to bits, but I don't know how or why his gf's would put up with all the trashing and rumors and whatnot. Good for Blake for moving on when she did. ETA: For the record, I'm not blaming Leo for the trashing. I blame the media and of course the people doing the trashing. I was responding to the comment I just bolded above. I love Leo, always will, but tbh it wouldn't be worth it to me. I'm glad that Blake moved on. She doesn't need it, nor does she deserve it. solange, to your comment below, I don't think he would intentionally hurt anyone. I'll leave it at that.

I have to say Blake fans here are some of the classiest fans I've ever come across. You do your girl proud. Cheers to you all. Happy to call myself a fan now, too. As cute as I thought she and Leo were as a couple and, frankly, as good as I thought she was for him (so many smiles), I hope she keeps going and never looks back. Glad to hear they are still friends, but she's too good to be waiting around for anyone.
  16. Thats good their keeping in touch! I am really curious what the cause of the breakup is? Probably just didn't work out and busy scheduals! Yeah, busy schedules are usually part of it, but I'm gonna try not to speculate too much. I'm sure the tabloids will be doing more than enough of that in the coming weeks. <_< Whatever their differences, I'm glad they didn't let it drag on for years... the on - off relationships and constant rumors can take a toll on friendships (and tbh, fans).

Thanks for the news, pix, and tweets! aomg, that's an excellent accounting of the many friends Blake has made over the years. I remember coming across a bit about her and Chace taking cooking classes together and thought it was so cute. She is truly a modern young woman. It's not her fault the tabloids are by and large stuck in the dark ages when it comes to friendships between men and women. How much you wanna bet she's baking pies for the crew? She made cupcakes for the GL crew in New Orleans. I love the contraband sweet potato sauce in the teddy story. Such the foodie... which reminds me...hey aomg, I was gonna send this to you but you beat me to it .... it's a tweet from the woman who took the pic above of beaming Blake. lovemadiee Oct 1 Life complete. We bonded over LA Ru Due chocolate in Laguna. http://yfrog.com/nzrs7fkj
  20. Finally some news about the J. Edgar premier... as predicted, a tough ("invitation only") and expensive (at least a $245 pass, but even that doesn't seem to guarantee an invite) ticket, but at least we should get some news and reviews in the next couple weeks. Carmel Art and Film Thanks for the news and tweets, kat, princess and oxford. Sounds like the paps (and wannabe paps) are hot on his trail again. Anil, that would be a good choice.
  21. Thanks for the news, pix, and tweets! I believe Gatsby is supposed to wrap in December. It's supposed to be a four month shoot and filming began on Sept. 5. The original reports about Django said it was due to start filming in November, but the most recent report in a New Orleans paper about filming location gave a January start date. I wonder if he will be considered a supporting actor in Django... I haven't read the script, but I've heard from those who have that his character dominates the second half and he is the one holding Django's wife, which is central to the plot of the movie. But if they film in chronological order, he might not have to start until later. Tarantino has a rep for working fast, though. Did Leo ride a horse in Quick and the Dead? I can't remember now... I don't know if Calvin is that type of character. I'm picturing him in fancy suits pretending to be a charming, genteel southerner when he's not being an evil, ruthless slave owner. Aw sounds like Tobey and fam made the trip to Queensland, and Blake looks so happy in that pic. Thanks for the news and tweets, oxford! As to why Blake isn't in Australia or Leo didn't fly back here, all I know for sure is there is a big time difference between the U.S. and Australia, there are no direct flights to Australia from the east coast, and it's a long long flight, especially with connections. For that last trip she made to Sydney, she filmed on her birthday and wasn't back at work until one week later. Six days off for a two or three day weekend. Leo hadn't started filming Gatsby yet, either. The name KevinConzzz reminds me of the Fonz ... ayyy. Thanks for that, fash. He is a funny guy. Always consider the source. For people who have no problem playing hardball with celebs, paps sure like to complain a lot. Why don't they just accept that there is nothing in his job description that says it's his responsibility to make their life easier? It seems like they're trying to pressure him to be more accommodating by taking the focus off their behavior and putting it on his. Not buying it... He's his own person. I like that about him. He can't change their behavior, but if he wants to make an effort to thwart them I say more power to him.
  22. Barbie, I haven't read the script so I don't know if there are love scenes or if Candie even has a wife (and I don't think Django's wife has been cast yet), but here is casting news about the actress who will be playing the Candie's sister... Hollywood Reporter I don't liked. Kurt seems to me a choice worse than Kevin Costner, I just don't like it. I agree. I like Kurt a lot, but he can be too... over the top or hammy sometimes. Costner would have been better, I think. I don't know why he bailed after so much press about him being given the role. Maybe he was scared off by the subject matter.
  23. Thanks for the news, pix, and tweets! Oxford, you're probably right about a Great Barrier Reef visit. I would not be surprised if some of his cast mates go with him. I know that's one of the first places I'm going when I finally visit Australia. Blake and Ryan... from what I understand they are friends. Ryan seems to be a good guy who has no problem with having women as friends. Leo too. He and Kate are great friends. I'm sure people who make a living writing stories about celebs will try to suggest something more, but that will always be the case. They shouldn't stop hanging out with their friends because of them. Paparazzo... have you ever noticed how they always blame their victims? He's reportedly "warm" and "friendly" with people he meets, just not the paps. So he doesn't want to reward these people who stalk him by making it easier for them to make a living off of stalking him. Makes sense to me. He left off "until the next day." And the next, and the next... I don't see why we're supposed to take their word for it. I've seen no evidence that they leave people alone. The ever friendly Mr. Clooney has had paps invade his home. He seems to be very gracious with those very warm, laid back people who don't stalk him, but he has no interest in playing the paps "game." And why does everyone have to be Clooney? What happened to being an individual? I admire him for sticking to his principles and living his life the way he wants to in the face of this kind of pressure. Everyone who doesn't follow him home with cameras, at least.
  24. Thanks for the news, pix, and tweets! Here's another tweet... kappaoie Katherina Oie 25 minutes ago Leo di caprio was at the same cafe we went to for breakast... His body guard=not so nice. STOKED we saw him!! Thanks for the article, fash! I don't think that's Hugh with Leo at the park... that guy is shorter, and his hair is different. The French article sounds like the person saw Leo in the park and Hugh at a basketball game, not the two of them together. Yep I'm guessing that will be his main time off (besides weekends). Nice that it coincides with his birthday. From the few tweets we've seen from extras and others on the set it sounds like they've been working long hours during the week. That's to be expected with a major multi-million $$ production like Gatsby. And it's in 3-D... I wonder if that's done in post-production, or part of the filming process? Ahhh how sweet! Thanks solange! And a big YES to Leo babbies! I can't decide if I want a bunch of mini-Leo's, or a bunch of daddy's girls (I know it's not up to me, but just saying ). Thanks wijn! Another reason to love Hugh. And he just answered my question about the 3-D. My best friend is a huge fan. She went to see him doing that Peter Allen musical in NY a few years ago, and he pulled her up on stage for a chat because he loved her enthusiasm and whoohoos.

Thanks for all the news, pix, and tweets! She looks so happy with the fans. I watched my first epi of Gossip Girl last night. She looked stunning. She also had the only halfway decent storyline... the prince and the pregnancy "cliffhanger" were so boring and dated. That's so awesome (makes me think she really did draw the little heart we spied on Leo's hand, caught red handed with a black Sharpie like that ). It looks like she's drawing the guy's face on the back of his head. Or... I have to say... those eyes look familiar... could it be .....?
