Whether we like it or not the relationship with the Bar is over. And everyone here should express their opinion without fear. What I know for sure: it's possible to state our opinions without bashing each other or Leo and his relationships (past or present), and Leo and Bar are no longer a couple. Moving on...

^ Aw those are precious! Thanks killabunnies! It's hard to believe he was 17 or 18 years old there, he looks like such a baby. It was a short blurb in the Enquirer's gossip column a couple weeks ago. I didn't bother posting it because it wasn't online and I didn't want to mangle an already questionable story from a questionable source (how long has it been since they've been in in NY?) by trying to go from memory. I think the sites posting it now are not based in the U.S., which would explain the delay and the different variations as things get lost in translation.

Thanks for all the news and pix, and for uploading the J. Edgar trailer! I had such high expectations that I was worried nothing could live up to them, but I can tell just from that short clip that we're in for some amazing performances, especially from Leo and Dame Judi Dench. I've read some negative comments about the old age makeup and the accent. I don't know if it's the makeup that's the problem, or they had a hard seeing the beauty that is Leo uglyfied. I'm sure it took a lot of work. I'll reserve judgment until I've seen more. It always takes me time to adjust to seeing a familiar (and beautiful) face aged so much. As for the accent, I've heard Boston accents before, but I looked up some clips of the real J. Edgar Hoover and his accent and voice sound a little strange to me. I think Leo does a good job of capturing the essence of his voice without making it the distraction it could have been. Here's a clip of Hoover (the real one) from YouTube to compare: I've also seen Hoover portrayed by Billy Crudup in Public Enemies. It's a good film and his performance was widely praised, but from what I've seen of the real person and the movie J. Edgar, Leo's performance carries more emotion and definitely more authenticity. You never know, but I read through some of the girl's other tweets and it sounds like her dad is a bit of a joker. As far as I know, Leo is still filming Gatsby in Sydney and Blake is still filming Savages in L.A. It sounds like the tabloids are peeved at Leo because they fell for the bodyguard dressed like him as they were waiting for him to arrive and assault him with their cameras. They should be mad at themselves. There's a lot more to looking like Leo than a baseball cap.

^It means they're paying attention, which is half the battle. Blake is considered a young fashion icon and an actress who is successfully working towards making the notoriously difficult transition from a youth oriented TV series to mature films by many successful and respected people in those respective fields. I haven't seen the Sisterhood movies or Green Lantern and I've never seen an episode of Gossip Girl (shame on me ), but I have been impressed with her choices and performances in the films I have seen, most notably The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and Elvis and Annabelle. And she undeniably makes some great fashion choices and rocks almost everything she wears. I respect the different fan bases, but anyone who wants to receive similar recognition by the fashion industry and make a similar transition would be happy with the comparison, as Nina said she was.

The "decoy" is wearing the Dodgers cap in the boating pix, but I guess they couldn't find a pair of Leo's loud boardie shorts for him. But this would makes sense if they're trying to get him inside without giving the paps anything. It wouldn't take long to figure out it's not Leo, but if it's enough time to get him in the door that's all he needs. But I'm not buying the claim he plays "Leo" once inside. Even dressed like him he looks nothing like him. They obviously knew that was Leo dancing to Snoop Dog. From Olivia Newton John to Snoop, the man loves his music. Thanks kat!

Whooohooo J. Edgar trailer on Monday! Access Hollywood As much as I enjoy seeing pix like anyone else, it is unfortunate that he's not able go out without the paparazzo stalking him or gossip columnists making stuff up about him. I'm sure he misses his girlfriend and all his friends back home, who wouldn't, but it's funny how the Daily Fail never entertains the possibility that the reason he's looking "glum" in the boating pix is because the paparazzo they pay handsomely won't leave him alone to enjoy a day out with his friends and family.

About the pix, I was pointing out that the guy in the twitpic with Leo at the club that night looked nothing like him and just like one of the bodyguards in the shopping pix. In other words, not a very good "decoy" if that's what they were trying to attempt. They weren't even dressed exactly the same. I think it's more creative writing on the part of that particular gossip columnist. He's the same one who claimed Leo and Blake were "making good use" of the mansion on the beach while she was in town when there was not one other report of them staying there (and we know how the paparazzo stalk him at that house), and other florid details unsubstantiated by any other source. Sorry for the confusion! Here's her twitter. Oh and it was two different journalists that wrote the "decoy" story and the one that tweeted the pic. It could be more publicity for the hotel's grand re-opening, but as long as the paparazzo think he could be there it's another place they have to stalk, potentially thinning out the herd at the beach house. And I have to say that quote sounds like fantasy rich people-speak.
