Thanks for all the pix and tweets! Welcome michelabella and Wendy, and nice to see you again kat and Sic. Saw this in Us magazine's sightings for this week... she had probably just got back from Bali Blake Lively squealing when meeting up with beau Ryan Reynolds at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica. It does my heart good to see her looking so carefree and happy. Thanks halo! Hopefully she's eating lots of rich southern food lol (and ice cream of course ). Nice, thanks Amie! I just wanted to say thank you for the scans! I picked up a copy of Elle yesterday and Amie is right, the pix look even better in the mag itself. The interview is smart, interesting, and fun, like the woman herself. I thought this was cute... In more dubious tweets/sightings news, I saw a couple tweets from a person in Malaysia who seems to work for a large hotel there that made it sound like she had possibly seen Blake (and Ryan) there, but between the language barrier and the brevity it was hard to make sense of it.

Someone tweeted today that they saw her at the airport in the Philippines, but I can't tell if it is recent sighting or not. But hopefully she's on her way back to catch some part of Fashion Week (or Valentine's Day )... Speaking of fashion, I did not realize the Valentino outfit she wore to the Godiva event was a dress with a skirt over it. Telegraph

These shoes sound amazing -- hopefully we get to see her wearing them sometime soon. I wonder if she'll be back in time for any of fashion week... Savages is more important, but do miss her presence. Funny how she/her boyfriends have never been papped outside her apartment till today, luckily she's in Bali so she can't take the fall for this as gossip bloggers are wont to do. Ah they're the same people who will be all "Where was Blake?!" when she's not at the premiere tonight. In other words, I wouldn't give them the time o' day. Ryan was on the Today show this morning, will be on Letterman tomorrow night, and Live with Kelly on Thursday so I expect to see lots of these kind of photos. If he wasn't staying at Blake's, you would see pics of him outside his hotel. I wish he would walk the dogs past wherever GG is filming - there's always paps there and I miss my Paxter.

Speaking of new endings... Boston Globe LA Times There are some places in the book that allude to the three leads living in Indonesia and I suppose them filming in Bali is to fulfill that. Another theory is that the ending Sannei refers to maybe didn't test well at the screenings and the studio had them film another one? Ah ok, I had no idea Bali was in the book. I'd be surprised if they've done test screenings already since it sounds like the Universal execs just saw it and moved up the date, but maybe... or maybe they're filming an alternate ending to see which one tests better. Or they're laying more of a foundation for the relationship between the O and her men, since that also factors heavily in the prequel that Don Winslow just finished. Whatever the case, it looks like more Blake (and Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson), which is always a good thing. Thanks for the pix, news, and vids! Presumably they could have screened the trailer for Universal execs along with the film. Then again, the decision to move up the release date is fairly recent so maybe not. It may take a few more weeks to get a trailer together. But Ima be there Feb. 10 to find out! ^ Yeah I thought about that too, whether it's the politically correct or the moral majority types, but she obviously meant no harm -- in fact, it could be interpreted as acceptance and celebrating good taste in fashion, which is how I took it.

March issue of Elle Unfortunately the photo is not on the NY Post site... I love this! Thanks for the pix and news! When I wished for pix earlier, I wasn't expecting the paparazzo to be out in full force like that. Maybe she wasn't either? I'm sure she's disappointed by recent events, she's a human being, but she could have been tired and annoyed by the number of paps following her all day as well. Whatever the case, she's got good people around her, I am confident of that. That's the first I've read about it being an R rating. It's a crazy business, full of highs and lows -- and unfortunately lots of lows when the suits and money people stick their noses in and undermine the filmmakers' vision -- but I have faith she will have the last laugh when all is said and done. I assumed Savages would be an R for violence, sexual content, and drug use. Still haven't read the book -- very tempted because it got such rave reviews, but I like to be surprised.

It was very unnecessary and cruel. They knew the cast Soderbergh had picked when they agreed to finance. And might I add Channing Tatum has had many opportunities to demonstrate his acting abilities in major films, and... well, you just know this wasn't about acting. It was about box office. Rooney's people probably went around Soderbergh to the finance people about the same time as the Oscar nom and Haywire not doing well at the box office. Typical power play. I do think it's interesting that there is still a question about financing... maybe Soderbergh doesn't want to work with Annapurna and is looking for better offers. I hope at the very least he puts in a good word for his first choice with everyone he can. And let me just say I'd take any of Blake's early films over Nightmare on Elm Street remake. It's all about getting a break...

I'm not reading much in the way of news, but I gather the role went to someone else. I can understand that, it happens all the time, but the way this went down was really unfair to Blake. If the money people wanted a bigger "star," they had a responsibility to make it known before they signed on to Soderbergh's casting choices. I know I won't be seeing this movie, or any movie associated with these people. My small little protest. But one thing we shouldn't forget or let get lost in the other chatter: we know his first choice was Blake, and not whomever they cast. He has had a lot more hits than misses when it comes to the young actors he's chosen to work with over the years. It's a shame Blake didn't get a chance to be one of them with this film, but her day will come. Onto Savages...
