It's definitely for harry potter fans. I never got into Harry potter, I couldn't even read the first book. If there was a more adult version of Harry potter I could get into it. It's kind of sad that the author of Harry Potter got 'canceled', for pretty stupid reasons- she liked to shoot her mouth off on twitter. The harry potter franchise seems to be on the decline, the last movie IIRC was the final one. It's sad that Lord of the Rings saw a resurgence with the Amazon show but seems to have vanished as soon as the show ended. If the show was good I bet people would still be into LOTRs right now.
In my time on this forum, there were two waves of posters that left. When I joined in 2010 this forum was extremely social and extremely active. I heard that in the 2000s it was actually even more active. I think the downfall of SI and VS (which used to be the biggest topics) is part of it. I think the first wave completed disappeared at around 2016-2017. Now it's just a couple of us that are left. From what I observed a lot of huge posters left all of a sudden, for perhaps personal reasons.
