I seriously doubt that the director and Dwayne Johnson have time to comment on how someone who is barely above an extra does on set / sits on a make-up chair They are promoting a movie and her name popping up is promising indeed. Naturally we won't know how much of the movie is following just Hercules and how much time the supporting characters get but it seems like Barbara's position has potential. For me a speaking part and visibility is good enough! (Irina playing Megara might be an encouraging sign in Barbara's case too.) How exciting! Thank you for the detective work appleauto! Exactly, Director Brett Ratner is tweeting her, the main star is tweeting her so she is not just mere eye candy. Probably her job does involve looking good as princesses / queens do in Hollywood movies ;D but I bet her character has a name etc. "Historically" it makes sense too since people rose to important positions quite young in today's standards. And of course Hercules needs some good looking ladies around him hence the casting of prominent beauties Barbara and Irina!

I feel like speculating that she is not just slave girl number 3 but in fact has a real role. Maybe as a queen?? Something must be up between Hercules and Barabara's character. Brett didn't hire her and Irina for no reason.

Thank you for the news! This year I am looking forward to seeing Lily in the commercial! Commercials are her time to shine so it would not be a good thing at all if she weren't in the Christmas commercial. And yes Barbara should be there! She was just exceptional right off the gate and I think that kind of people are the ones that end up working out the best. It reminds me of Ed telling that he was going to send Adriana home for looking too young but when the camera was on her she just changed.

Oh I wasn't implying that Ed had something against Kate. I just think the whole thing was a little lesson to them. Victoria's Secret isn't the gatekeeper anymore and if they don't watch closely what the public is interested in they are bound to lose some. The whole episode of putting Kate on the back cover of their catalogue after the milk was already on the table proves as much And yes Doutzen is doing fabulously! I cannot imagine Doutzen not being there! She has a perfect soft face that goes very well for the mood they have for these commercials. There always seems to be a close-up shot of her face. I do wish they would go back to having all their Angels for the Holiday commercial. It makes it seem more official and grand. Fashion show pre-party!

Yes the 2005 show was perfection! That announcement of a British section didn't get me that excited because I just dread it's going to be a carnival mess of red, white and blue and not even near the level of the exquisite Sexy Russian Babes outfits. I think they would do better if they tried to go back to a more romantic feeling (like their Designer Collection or some of the 2008 outfits such as the pink one for Doutzen) since sexy not ridiculous outfits for all seem to be too hard for them to execute. Yeah, Ed might have just done damage control. I'm sure they would love to have Miranda's press for the show but I'm still not convinced that she will be there.

About past Angels coming back... I'd like to see Karolina Kurkova and Selita Ebanks. Karolina was my favorite model on the runway and I like Selita! Izabel is still there so it feels like Karolina and Selita should be too since they come from the same era Of course I would welcome others back too like Marisa and Rosie but they seem more removed from modelling / VS. Rumours about Gisele were exciting too. Miranda... I dunno if it's that fun to come back when you are not the Angel anymore. Like during the finale sure you can make your way to the Angels but it's not the same.

I'm hoping for a confirmation on Kate too! I don't want any bullshit indoor photoshoot for her like Bar did. I want a proper shoot in an amazing location etc. New Jersey is not the most exotic one but if she is there I won't mind because there might still be another location for body paint. Plus when she talked about Antarctica she mentioned that next time they could go to a place like Miami so it seems like she has had enough of travelling.

How exciting news! I loved The Rock in Fast & Furious! Brett does have Michael Bay vibe but Hollywood is a small town so if she does well on set (and I'm sure she will be pleasant to work with) there will come a time when someone is thinking out loud who should be cast in role X and her name might get mentioned at that point! Her having even a small role can be a huge thing since many work as actors for years and never get to be in movies.

Chrissy has been growing on me recently. XD All this complaining about her made me interested to check her out again and her interviews come across better than her quotes. She is a handful but if you look at her Twitter keeping in mind that that is just her sense of humour she turns out to be more entertaining than many cookie cutter models The lineup is quite white so she might be in among other reasons (high profile marriage, friends with people from SI as evidenced by Summer of Swim etc.). (I hate the token thing though )

I think they want to bring back the glory days of SI when their girls were everywhere and people knew who was in the issue. Kate is today's answer to Tyra, Heidi etc. so it would be foolish for them to stop putting her at the forefront. I think that Nina has potential for the cover but I would love to see Alyssa get more recognition. Chrissy has mentioned how she is pretty burned out from modelling so she might have completely moved on to TV. However, SI is a pretty big part of her fame so I dunno if she would be the one to say goodbye.

Kate could get a triple cover but I'm not sure if they have the guts to do it. The times have changed since Elle Macpherson's days. I think people are quicker to want someone new. However, I think Kate is the only one who could do three SI covers (and this isn't just coming from a biased place ). She had an immediate impact, SI can completely claim her as their own (Victoria's Secret sure didn't launch her career) and they want it to matter when they say so and so had the most covers etc. Out of the current crop Kate is one of the only ones if not the only one who is well on her way to the status of an SI icon. And selfishly I of course hope she'll make the cover because I think that otherwise she might move on. I'm hoping she'll be like Petra Nemcova but she might be more like Brooklyn etc.

I did the beauty mark check on that girl before and I don't think they match. Like the one on Kate's right breast is more of a freckle than a mole. Plus I think she is currently bigger than that girl.

The whole models getting overshadowed by musicians... If you are a beautiful model half-naked on the runway and possibly with wings on how in the hell are you letting someone overshadow you?! They need to look in the mirror at that point. But yeah Victoria's Secret should acknowledge that most of the models will benefit from two types of performers: either the musician kind of stays in the background giving their support and energy through music (like Seal) or someone who will give a lot of interaction so every girl can have her "moment" (like Timberlake). But if a performer is doing their thing and a model is supposed to do hers it sets up a situation where some models are going to lose. One has a microphone and the other might not have strong enough pure presence to overthrow that.
