@Smarf I understand how it can seem naïve. BUT take into account that the man gifted millions of dollars' worth of valuables to Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese as well. I bet they did not have to sleep with him. He was desperate to hang out with likes of Leo and get in celebrity circles so he tried to buy friends. It’s safe to say he admired Leo so it makes sense that he wanted to have a model girlfriend himself and used the only asset he had, money. So, I think it’s entirely possible all the gifts were his attempt to woo her. We all know how successful Miranda is in Asia, she is an ideal of beauty over there. Maybe he even wanted Miranda to be the face of a lingerie company he had bought and that was his in with her? I actually think it’s entirely possible she did not sleep with the Malaysian man. He seems the type that could be kept spending money without having to give him much more than a hug, a smile, and a kiss on the cheek. She knows that men would do anything to get to sleep with a VS model. If a regular guy had a chance to court any of these women, they would max out their credit cards, spend their 401k and ask for the family heirloom ring to impress the girl. I think her goal was to land a billionaire. She’s been with THREE it seems. She did the Hollywood star thing already so I think she decided to pursue some serious money after that. I suspect that her technique to have a billionaire fall for her is withholding sex while being sexy and flirty i.e. keep them wanting more till she is satisfied with her position. Not saying models being high class escorts doesn’t happen but I think Miranda was able the play the game at a higher level than an escort or a sugar baby due to her status as a top model.

It’s a little confusing because Stella comes across as a bit of a “bad girl” instead of the squeaky-clean image that VS favours for their Angels. She even had Miley’s hand down her pants in public! But maybe with Barbara’s looks, they expect her to be an innocent and girly role model.

To me she looks too pear-shaped. I think she should be careful so that she won’t lose her status of being a darling of the fashion industry. She’d still get a lot of work as long as her face would be unaffected but I think she would have a much more long-lasting career at the top as a fashion model if she went back to her thinner body. But I understand that her skinny body (that she was criticized for) was likely due to her being so young and now she is gaining weight and becoming more of a woman as all skinny models eventually do when they are in their twenties.

Obviously because some have moral objections to eating something that has a higher level of intelligence.

What’s so stupid about it? If I recall right, pigs are said to be as smart as dogs and 2-year-old kids.

I think Barbara would have become really popular as a VS Angel similar to Candice, Taylor, and Adriana. She already had a (rabid) fanbase and the perfect doll looks for inspiring more young people to become fans of hers (#goals). Her looks are reminiscent of Brooke Shields and Natalia Vodianova and she has inevitably been compared to Adriana as any stunning young model with light eyes but she is still uniquely herself. And surely long-time VS customers would not have found any bad words to say about her gorgeous face and her body that harkened back to classic VS Angels and their sensual lingerie shoots. VS’s loss!

Of course, the one who I think should have been selected to become an Angel over all the others who VS passed on is Barbara Palvin. All her peers became VS Angels: Taylor, Sara and Stella. I think Barbara has the look to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel but she would still be unique. And she’d fit right in with the big-name Angels. To me she’d be like Candice and Rosie who looked like they belonged with the likes of Adriana, Alessandra, Miranda and Doutzen whereas models like Erin, Lindsay and Lily did not look like they should have been promoted to the level of being Victoria’s Secret Angels (Lily grew on me later). I think Barbara would have looked great alongside the New Angels:

@bump No problem! Miranda is the best PINK spokesmodel ever to me. Of course, we have to give credit to the first PINK spokesmodel Alessandra Ambrosio but Miranda was the perfect mixture of cuteness for PINK and sexiness fit for mainline. I was averse to Marisa Miller at first but grew to really like her due to her personality. She is probably my favourite VS spokesmodel ever. I never understood why Lindsay was praised as a spokesmodel. To me it seemed like a consolation prize i.e. Candice is great for lingerie (because she is the sexy one), Erin is great for VSX (because she is not as sexy and popular as Candice but has a toned body) and Lindsay is the best spokesmodel (because people need to say something nice about her as well.)

Bar Refaeli should have shot for Victoria’s Secret WAY more than she did. One of the best bodies ever and a great swim and lingerie model. I don’t understand why VS did not book her unless it was about a (stupid) rivalry between SI and VS.

I think the way he has gone about keeping the mother of his first child a secret is weird. He hasn’t told his son about her. I think that could cause some issues for the kid in the future. Ok, if you wanna have kids but don’t want to deal with women looking for outsized child support checks and don’t want to have to share the kid with a baby mama and deal with all the drama, a surrogate can make sense but there is something off about his situation.
