  6. What about countries that have just one contestant? Do they automatically advance to the second round? Or maybe go up against other countries that have just one representative? If you want, you can add Suvi Koponen to make the category for Finland more competitive. She has been on the cover of French Vogue.
  7. What about pictures? @almanaotemcor should?
  8. Karolina Smetek has a thread on the Fashion Spot but not in here? Chloe Stamford is signed with an agency but doesn’t have a thread? http://www.tessmanagement.com/portfolio/talent/women/1075511/chloe-stamford

  13. Also some more out of the norm ones Monica Bellucci (Italy) Carla Bruni (Italy) Melania Trump née Knauss (Slovenia) Milla Jovovich (Ukraine) @peroxideblonde But maybe they are considered to be other types of celebrities rather than models?
  14. Also possibly: Caroline Winberg (Sweden) Ingūna Butāne (Latvia) Kate Moss (England) Naomi Campbell (England)
  15. Great idea! Dunno what is your cut-off point but you could consider adding: Lucia Dvorská (Slovakia) Veronika Vařeková (Czech Republic) Daniela Peštová (Czech Republic) Helena Christensen (Denmark)

  18. Good point about Little Red Riding Hood! Grimms’ fairy tales and Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales would be up for grabs as they are so old. But even if they did something like this, I’m not sure they could get sued. You can see the inspiration, key motifs, but it’s obviously very different from the Disney costume:
  19. I have heard that Disney is ruthless when they go after people. (Jokes about Mickey Mouse’s pimp hand.) Maybe those adult costume sellers are too small-time for them? But could Disney really sue VS if they did a segment that was inspired by Disney? A super long red cloak is different enough from Little Red Riding Hood’s outfit that people would get the reference but it would not be a direct copy.
  20. I remember a commenter lamenting that he had no one in his life to pull him aside and advise him on the modelling thing. It’s an interesting idea that in a different environment, people would have recognized his potential and put him on that path so he would have avoided the life of crime altogether. But apparently where he grew up, becoming a gang member was a desirable option. At the risk of sounding like I’m stereotyping, if he had been talented in music, dance or sports, he could have been steered away from crime no matter where he grew up in but the fashion industry is foreign to many.

Sometimes beauty can be a hindrance for an actress? Watched parts of a movie titled Bringing Up Bobby (2012) while doing the dishes. Milla Jovovich plays a con-artist and a mother who ends up in prison and struggles to get her life in order so that she could care for her son again. She even ends up sleeping in a homeless shelter. A woman that beautiful can’t have better options? She was clearly charming enough to con people so one would think that she’d be able to get a rich man instead of hanging out with a loser bum who wasn’t even her real boyfriend. Ok, maybe she wanted to make it on her own but surely someone as beautiful as her could have opportunities for a normal life even with a criminal record.
