I wish they’d try to go to countries that they’ve never been to before. Ok, some places are worth visiting multiple times because there are new things to discover but it’s more exciting to see completely new places. As much as it seems that they’ve been everywhere, there is still much left to explore. I really loved the motherland idea i.e. visiting home countries of some of the models because it meant that they visited some more unusual places like Israel and Cayman Islands.

Personally, this gives a lot of room for interpretation. A model who was born e.g. in the U.S. could qualify if her parent(s) came from Europe.

If we are going that route, then Jessica Gomes would qualify as well since her dad is Portuguese (and her mother is Chinese and she was born in Australia.)

What about countries that have just one contestant? Do they automatically advance to the second round? Or maybe go up against other countries that have just one representative? If you want, you can add Suvi Koponen to make the category for Finland more competitive. She has been on the cover of French Vogue.

Good point about Little Red Riding Hood! Grimms’ fairy tales and Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales would be up for grabs as they are so old.
