Well, he won! And rightfully so IMO. Yes he can be selfish and arrogant, but he is still one of the best players we've ever seen in soccer. I understand that a lot of people don't like him, but you can't deny he has talent. I think we could be seeing Diego Costa on that list for 2014, if he keeps playing as well as he is now and if he keeps his temper in check.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2013 Ballon D'Or award on Monday. The 28-year-old Portuguese was selected ahead of Argentine Lionel Messi and French Franck Ribéry. He wins his second European Footballer of the Year award. He also won in 2008. His award comes on the back of exceptional performances for his club side and his national team last season. He scored a remarkable 69 times in 59 matches.
