Maybe... Thank you! There's protests everywhere and all over the country; the vast majority of these being peaceful. And there's also State of Emergency in effect in over half of the country and curfew in most big cities. It has also been chaotic, mostly during the weekend, with lots of plundered and burned places and metro stations that got pretty much destroyed. Yes, it brings back terrible memories since the last time there was curfew (not including a couple of big natural disasters) it was under military dictatorship. I luckily didn't live through that but I never though I would live something like this in democracy...

Yeah, it did... And now with the curfew I'm afraid things will get ugly(ier). The rise on the public transport ticket was announced this evening to be revoked. Just a little late... But the ticket's rise is only the tip of the iceberg of much bigger issues.

The dead protester was refuted as far as I know. Still... he may not have been killed but was shot all the same. This is horrible. Unless there has actually been someone killed I haven’t heard of? There was a video I can no longer find, but I did find this one from yesterday too. It’s very graphic...

And now curfew from 10 PM to 7 AM. This is fucking awful

thanks! This has been escalating since Wednesday. And now we have military in the streets. The incompetence of the government at handling this so far has been remarkable. Edit: The fire was mostly in the building's external emergency stair, not the building itself.
