New Arctic Monkeys single, complete with extremely cool video. Really like the rockier vibe.

Man of Steel (2013)
Criticising a comic book movie for having a predictable ending is like criticising an island for being surrounded by water. That the good guy wins and the bad guy loses is a given, it's Superman.

Pippa Middleton
It's not actually Pippa Middleton in those last two. They were photographed by Alison Jackson, who's become known for taking candid-style portraits of very convincing celebrity lookalikes.

Also really like Janet Weiss, formerly of Sleater-Kinney 'fame'. She's currently a member of Quasi and Wild Flag.

Man of Steel (2013)
Good call, Andy. I didn't notice it on the first viewing but on closer inspection, there's a reveal of a rather important plot point towards the end of the trailer. I think I'll edit and pop a little spoiler warning in there.

Man of Steel (2013)
It’s interesting too that reviewers who like the movie mostly praise Nolan, while those who don’t seem to heap the blame on Snyder.

Man of Steel (2013)
Most of the reviews I've seen up to now have had a sort of grumpy, grudging, semi-positive tone to them. I hate to say it, but I'm not sure any new Superman vehicle would get a fair shake while the majority of working critics still remember seeing the Donner/Reeve version in theatres.

Female Drummers, Bassists and Electric Guitarists
Another vote for Anna Calvi here. My favourite guitarist since Jack White... ...with Annie Clark/St Vincent a close second. And for drummers, must mention Maria 'Poni' Silver from Nashville garage rock band The Ettes. Look at her go!

Batman: Arkham
That was him singing as well? Gah, don't you just hate talented people? Allegedly, the studio used a few offcuts from Conroy's previous contributions for the first 'Origins' teaser trailer, which seemed to confuse things still further. It would be quite cool for him to appear as an older Batman/Wayne though, I wonder if there's still a chance of Hamill being on board for the next project too?

Another new one by Charlie Boyer and The Voyeurs. Unlikely to score top marks for originality, but very likely to get under your skin in no time. Still think the name is daft, though.

New video for 'Some Time Alone, Alone' by Melody's Echo Chamber. One of my favourites from the album.

Triple J Hottest 100
Interesting lists. Good to see TV On The Radio mentioned in the overall top 100, the airplay for that song in the UK was virtually nil, so I'm glad they're getting their due somewhere.

Batman: Arkham
I know Conroy tweeted about doing it, but I was under the impression that he was only returning for the next-gen Arkham game, and mistook the announcement about ‘Origins’ for one about the future Rocksteady effort. Could well be totally wrong on that though. It seems the guy doing the Joker also did Robin and Harvey Dent in ‘Arkham City’. I just had a look at his IMDB page, he really does have quite the resume.

Top 10 Rock Bands of Every Decade
Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, your opinion, man. :atoobie: 10- What explanation??? Nothing beats the Beach Boys, they were the most influential and substantial on EVERY level you can think of. It's very obviously a typo.
