Seems the trailer is receiving praise across the board so far. So much so that the only thing people have found to complain about is the front gate of the theme park. Apparently it's 'ugly' and less realistic than it should be.

I hear they have a wonderfully soft subs bench at Brighton's Falmouth Stadium these days, warm too. As a great man (well, Steve Bruce) once said, wor all shakin' wor heads at Benty.

Much as I love Chris Pratt, I can't help longing a little for Sam Neill in the central role. He was just so believable as a dinosaur expert. Overall though, leaving aside CGI that comes across as a bit rough in a couple of the scenes, I'm generally excited (albeit in a slightly nostalgic kind of way) about the prospect of watching a new Jurassic Park film in 2015. The original still stands up as an all-time classic blockbuster, hopefully this is the sequel it truly deserves.

While 'Origins' was indeed rubbish, I will admit to having a small soft spot for 'Last Stand'. The movie had many a shortcoming (the muddled narrative, the lack of depth compared to the other X-Men outings and the mishandling of Mystique, for starters), but Famke Janssen's turn in it will always have a place in my heart. She worked miracles with limited material and gave a genuinely stirring and unpredictable performance. The scene in which Jean tears her childhood home from its foundations is still one of the coolest things I've ever seen on the big screen. Since the current plan is to launch younger versions of Scott, Jean and Storm, there probably won't be a place for Famke in this one. I'm a bit sad about that.

Oscar was outstanding in 'Drive' and 'Inside Llewyn Davis', but he usually comes across as a very understated performer. So much so that the thought of him portraying a larger-than-life villain in full-blown insanity mode is a little tricky for me to wrap my head around. Still, time will tell.

Part one of the new gameplay trailer (the second part is expected to drop on the 1st of December). Like, wow.

Very early days I know, but this is all sounding rather exciting so far. After the previous rumours of Tom Hardy being on board, I will admit to being slightly underwhelmed by the casting of Oscar Isaac. I've seen some of his serious dramatic work and consider him an excellent talent, but I'm undecided as to whether this is a role where he'll be able to do himself justice. I wonder if Apocalypse being unleashed will be a result of his timeline getting altered by the events of 'Days of Future Past'? That would be kind of cool. Giant letter 'A' on his belt though, or we riot!
  9. The 'dating a famous pillock' effect has a lot to answer for. :persuazn:

An open dinosaur park. What could possibly go wrong?

Five points better off than at this stage last season say the stats, so I can handle plodding. Plod away, Gus.

  14. Been there. Yeah, the criteria for voting is incredibly open-ended and I suppose that can encourage indecision at times. It's worth remembering though, that the lists can be edited as many times as you like between now and the end of the year, so if at some point you find yourself struck by an urge to rip it up and start again, all will not be lost.

Not sure if this is still the case but I had originally heard that they were taking the 'Superman Returns' route, in that the events of this new one are supposed to slot somewhere into the original timeline. I'm guessing between the events of the first two movies, because they've put the Interceptor on one of the posters. Abbey Lee Kershaw has come off worst in the character naming stakes though, I know that.
  16. Alright. So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I give you the 2014 edition of Bellazon's Top 100 Sexiest Women! Casting your vote could hardly be easier. Simply name your personal TOP 20 women of 2014 in this very thread (in the internationally approved format) while considering just a few trifling matters... :morning: ELIGIBILITY Any current model, actress, singer, sportswoman etc is eligible for nomination, but they must have had a Bellazon thread to call their own before the time of this post, be alive and well (well, alive at least ) and be of legal age. No voting for anybody previously without a BZ thread, anybody who died before 2014 began, or anybody who hasn't or won't turn 18 in 2014, and no placing two different women in the same spot. Please also try to vote with greater consideration for favourites of the last year than for favourites of all time. CLOSING DATE Votes will be accepted from now until the end of the year. If you're struck by an urge to edit your list after posting, fear not, but once the aforementioned deadline comes and goes, you won't be able to do so any longer. I'll then begin to count the votes and prepare the final list and pics. We'll award 25, 20, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points to those listed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on. Perhaps needless to say, the woman who amasses the highest points total will be declared the winner. P.S. One additional rule, to qualify for the final Top 100 list each woman will require a minimum number of three seperate votes. This is to avoid having anyone with just one voter reaching the final list. Women with less than three votes will be considered if we desperately need to make up the numbers, but not unless. PREVIOUS WINNERS 2012 01. Barbara Palvin 02. Doutzen Kroes 03. Candice Swanepoel 2011 01. Adriana Lima 02. Kate Upton 03. Alessandra Ambrosio 2010 01. Alessandra Ambrosio 02. Adriana Lima 03. 17. As many of you will no doubt be aware, this was originally devised by Theron, who did it here in 2012 (although Pretty did most of the work that year, I believe), here in 2011 and here in 2010. Unfortunately, we never got a 2013 installment off the ground, but since it's right around the time of year that this kind of malarkey usually goes down, I've decided to try and revive it for 2014. It'll be my first time hosting a contest so please guys, be gentle with me.

Wow. That's one way to focus attention away from the annual James McClean poppy furore. A fiver says the folks currently trotting out terms like 'bleeding heart brigade' and 'liberal PC rubbish' are all straight white males who have never experienced genuine discrimination in their lives. Just a hunch, I could be wrong.
  20. It seems Marvel has yet to confirm who Brühl will be playing, but Baron Zemo springs to mind as an obvious possibility. Aside from the Red Skull, Zemo has long been Captain America's greatest enemy. It would be almost unthinkable for him not to show up in the MCU at some point, and Daniel has more than enough talent to bring the part to life.

This is actually one of my favourite movies of the last few years. I saw the beginning/end as being symbolic of a life going round in circles, after Llewyn spends a week dealing with but eventually compounding his failures, you’re left with the sad realisation that Carey Mulligan’s assessment of him (which feels needlessly mean-spirited at the time) is in fact spot on. I like to think of it as a coming-of-age movie where the hero faces the fact that his childhood dreams aren't going to happen, but it's an overall chronicle of failure too.

Let's face it, being born to famous parents is responsible for more opportunities in Hollywood (and elsewhere in the celebrity world) than any of us are even remotely aware of, but respect is earned no matter what field you're in. If you were found not to be up to the task after being gifted that initial chance, you wouldn't last long.

Thanks Jeanmarc. Yaya's career seems to have wound down somewhat as of late, but she’s still such a good model and way too special to be so underrated. She’ll always be one of my favourites.
  24. It's pretty obvious now, but I only noticed the building with the Samsung logo slapped on it on my second viewing of the trailer. To be honest, I didn't even realise that was a Samsung tablet.
