Jill Goodacre and Frederique van der Wal wearing the same exact bra and panty set: wide shoulder straps, tulip cups and flutter-leg V-shape. Just different colors; I thought they were the same until I saw them side-by-side. Always found the wide-straps style sexy for some reason... An odd pose and an even odder facial expression for Frederique. But sexy. And here is Frederique again, first as her usual self, and second, made-up to look like Jill. It was the photographer's little joke: At least I'm almost sure it's Frederique. Love them both; they're the girls that put VS on the map in the early days.

I saw that today too. A shame. Hope she gets straightened out. You can see her resemblance to her mother. But her sister Kate is the lovelier one, and resembles Jill much more. And she sings also! She could go into both her parent's professions.

Good to see Rachel Roberts again. They're all looking great.

Bravo, blsmn! Never seen these, and a reverse image search only leads back to this post. What Chinese catalog was this? And of course, are there more? LOL. Her eyes do look as they were made up to look a bit "Chinois".

In her best shots, like the ones above, she has without a doubt one of the loveliest faces I've ever seen on any SI girl. The desktop calendar cover shot in particular is stunning. Of course, her makeup is perfect, but we expect that from SI.

Found this picture with commentary from Cindy Crawford on her Facebook page: "Model Monday: Talk about a body! Here's her cover for the March 1998 issue of "Shape". Does anybody have any idea how long the lead time is between a cover picture being taken and being published? I imagine a few months at least.

Cindy, enmeshed in the sex rays of the alien love cult. I love pics where the girl looks overcome by ecstasy for no apparent reason! And I love that soft-cup bra - you don't usually see those nowadays. A fave pic.

I love black lace masks - they're like lingerie for the eyes! And they give women this mysterious air. Here's nice-girl Niki Taylor, looking uncharacteristically naughty:

The Most Beautiful Breasts in the World. Capitalized, like all things divine. I love how much skin the bra shows, and the way the lace at the cups makes you to try to see more. The highlights in her hair are lovely also. Best VS shot ever? It almost doesn't matter - there are so many great ones.

I truly believe this to be the greatest photograph ever taken. You know why it's so great, don't you? It's because you get to see boobs and ass in the same photo! Usually you need a mirror shot for that. It's just that in this case they're different women, which makes it all the more intriguing. Each girl is showing off one of her best features - Elle's boobs and Katy's ass are both fabulous - and their blissed-out expressions don't hurt either.

Love her prominent bust in this one! New to me. Probably late 80's VS.

The bio below from NY mag seems quite authoritative. It lists her as retiring in 1997, but that may have meant only from runway. I found VS covers of her in 1998 below, though note one of them is a "sale" cover, and the pics in this are probably all going to re-runs. Of course, nothing would have stopped them from using some previous year's pic of Yasmeen, but I figure for a regular cover that would be less likely, and even for inside photos, they like to keep the models and the "look" current to what they are selling now. http://nymag.com/fashion/models/yghauri/yasmeenghauri/

The pic that started my Romijn jones! From VS Winter Sale '94. When I first saw her in SI '94, I was like "Hey, who's that girl?". Then why I saw this in VS, it was "Oh my God, who's that girl?!?".

OMG, that outfit is so sexy - the see-through top with strategically-placed applique flowers. And what a lovely figure she has!

With Frederique everyone says "OMG, that body!". I really don't like that many pictures I've seen of her wearing clothes - it seems like a waste of her. Maybe it's because I know her from VS, but for me, the ideal outfit for Frederique is a bra and panties, with a bikini either tied, or a very close second. She could totally kill a bikini. Kill it for anyone else. "Clothes", for Frederique, are either a slip, or a maillot...

Looking at some of Cindy's own pictures from that age, one might not have guessed that she would grow up to a famous beauty.

I believe this Capt. Bob scan is Melissa McKnight also. ("That's a beautiful bra," a GF of mine said when she saw it in the catalog.) I've seen this pic wrongly attributed to Niki Taylor, but Niki never did lingerie.
