This. Whenever a girl becomes too popular in VS she instantly starts to get shit. It's always been this way, had Taylor as featured as much as Elsa has been lately she's be the one getting shit. There's always a cool model to hate on and right now it's Elsa. Not that I give a fuck, she's still getting paid, VS clearly still likes her, her fans still get new pictures and the earth keeps spinning, it's a matter of time before somebody else gets shit. No one will ever be everyone's cup of tea and the overexposure for VS probably doesn't help much Now in other things, I do find it odd how Taylor went from being everywhere with Elsa and Jo to blink and you'll miss it. However, she seems to be pretty off lately so idk what to make of it

I feel the exact same way towards Lily, yet I've been stuck with her for almost a decade. And honestly literally none of their young Angels (or anyone they have contracted since 2007/2008) is anywhere near the leves of Tyra, Heidi or Gisele, so they may as well drop their entire lineup except for Adriana, Alessandra and maybe Candice There's some girls I'd like to see getting dropped either because I don't like them or because even tho I like them, I feel like they add nothing to the brand. However, it's been two years, these women ain't "new" anymore, they've been in the brand for at least a good two or three years already, nobody has been dropped so clearly they are all working out and selling and unless they decide to leave, I doubt VS is dropping people soon. In this day and age with social media you need enough people to reach as many possible clients as you can and by having a dozen of Angels they appeal more people i.e: I like Elsa, you don't, you like Lily and I don't. Result: We both have a model in the lineup we like, it's a win for VS. Took me a while but I've come to terms with the facts that they'll probably never find another Gisele/Adriana/Candice, and that the good old days of a selective group of Angels are long dead.

I used to be able to click in a star thingie in the thread list and it would take me to the last post I'd seen in a model's thread, is that gone? Or am I just not seeing it? Not sure if the Model Search thing is over or not, but Olivia Jordan just confirmed in an Instagram live that she's headed for castings, she's Miss USA 2015 and she's a stunner so I hope she gets it, she's actually a good model with banging body, a beautiful face and a great personality. Sorry Isabell, I'm Team Olivia on this one

I tend to actually love her style but both outfits from the MET are horrible o.O, I don't mind the sheer stuff, they are just ugly outifts, especially compared to her previous outfits.

Adriana doesn't need promotion. she's easily the most recognizable face of the brand from the past decade. Whenever she does fan events they are full, when the show happens she's always the only model with impact in social media. I think Adriana is over VS but stays for the cash and because she enjoys the show, but I doubt she's willing to put up with the demands VS has for the new Angels. The new girls need promotion from VS, VS needs Adriana to promote them. An about this whole Jules/Adriana thing, all I can say is: go get it gurl! Adriana always seemed to be so guarded and shy, now she's a lot more womanly and has this IDGAF attitude and I love it, she needs to do her thing, be happy and enjoy her life.

I wouldn't be so sure Behati/Candice are opening the show and getting the FB, let's face it, VS seems to be over the old gals and they are clearly focusing in their newer girls and putting them in the spotlight. Last year we were sure Ale, Adri and Lily would get all the cool shit and nope, it all went to the new girls and Candice and Behati ain't even that famous so I don't see why VS would push them so much, especially because their "comeback" will be more than a whole year after giving birth, so they won't have the "omg she just had a baby and looks so amazing!" thing going on. If VS was so into them, they'd be back shooting already, but they haven't shot anything yet which means VS is more than okay with them sitting out. Stella, Lais, Elsa, Taylor and Josephine are all having great years so far, booking all kinds of cool things and growing their fanbases. Wether we like it or not, the new angels are the new money makers, they are here to stay and the smartest thing for VS is to keep pushing them because they are the future of the brand, so I can totally see them getting the opening and the Fantasy and all the big things. That being said, I would love for Behati to get the Fantasy Bra, I think she's due to get it but I ain't holding my breath.

I knew it, they all have pretty solid HF careers and connections at this point. Alessandra's career has been going downhill for a while now, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's the only old Angel that doesn't get invited. I do think Grace could go with Topshop or H&M. I'm lowkey waiting for some of the NA like Elsa, Jasmine or Romee to show up to the MET Ball wearing a Brallete, it would be gold if VS got some tickets and sent one or two girls pimping their shit

+1 Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively and Jennifer Lawrence all became prominent names in the fashion industry thanks to one red carpet look was published everywhere and designers noticed them, now they are all fashion household names. Heck, Blake Lively's acting career is a joke but the woman is one of the actresses every brand wants, and it's all because one night, she simply nailed it with her look and it took her from teen TV show actress to It Girl. The MET it's a huge deal in the fashion industry, getting it right in this thing can open a huge amount of doors for any model. Kate Upton is indeed the perfect example of this. That being said, Kate does come from a rich family so for her to pay 25K for one night ain't much, but I doubt Sara or anyone who comes from less would feel right throwing money away like that when is not even a safe bet.

I'm not sure of anyone else but Adriana is confirmed to be going to the MET tomorrow, same for Behati and Candice. I'm sure Lily, Taylor and Stella will go as well, maybe also Alessandra. The rest I highly doubt will attend

Tommy probably has to take Gigi because of their partnership and I bet they'll take a huge crows of nepotism bitches girls, same goes with Balmain, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs who all love a good famewhore influencer. I'm actually terrified not even Adriana is going to get invited this year and I'm not even hoping for Elsa

Sara has built a decent relationship with designers, not a good one (see Stella with Jeremy Scott, the Kartrashians with Olivier, the Hadids with Stella). Designers have a limited amount of invitations to give away and from those invitations you need to cut all the ones that will go to actresses/singers/celebrities and take most of the spots, then you cut the spots for the current face of the brand, and than leaves just a few spots for models to go and designers tend to go with models who they are close to. Sara has done some work for Balmain, Elie Saab and others but is she one of their faves? Nope. The only NAs I expect to attend are Taylor and Stella, the rest I'd be (gladly) shocked if they do. I do love her VB cover, I'm not a huge fan of the photographer but it looks good, I'm looking forward seeing the editorial.
