I'm sorry but I have a hard time perceiving people who forcefully invaded the Capitol and then proceeded to trash and steal things as sympathetic? Over sixty cops injured, one of them dead. Also, the guys with zipties and guns on them who invaded the chamber clearly had very nefarious ideas about what they might get up to once inside. So I don't see how it's unrealistic for any Congressman or woman to have feared for their safety.

The difference being that no BLM protest ever gets within a hundred yards of the Capitol building. Capitol Hill during a BLM protest: But to me the real question is not a political one. It's one of competence. How the fuck could this happen? The U.S. has a defense budget bigger than most countries GDPs. There are mall cops that would have done a better job than what I saw yesterday from the Capitol police. But this is the seat of power of the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the world! And a bunch of rowdy idiots managed to get inside and trash it.

I can't decide which is more shocking. The stupidity of Trump's own Beer Hall Putsch or how easy it was for these protestors to invade the Capitol. In terms of the latter, it's hard not to notice the extreme restraint (borderline absurd) shown by cops who were happy to tear gas protestors for Trump's photo op at the church.

There is no reason to believe models (as a group) would be smarter or dumber than the average person. So you will find both doofuses and smart folks, as well as everything in between. I guess the only thing Doutzen has done the last year or so is remove any doubt as to what group she belongs to.

Both Trek and Star Wars currently suck (mostly). I have time for The Mandalorian, Rogue One and Solo in the Disney SW universe. The rest was mostly garbage. I didn't care much for Discovery nor Picard. Really the only thing I enjoyed a bit were the Captain Pike episodes of Discovery. So I have a tiny bit of hope for that spin-off show.

Not necessarily. If vaccine deployment is not a total disaster, we might see some sort of reopening in the second half of the year.
