I have to say that I thought the show itself was a disappointment after the early photographs showed a lot of promise. I can't really define what was wrong with it yet, I think the best summary I can give is that it was a paint-by-the-numbers VSFS in which they just checked all the boxes but took very little - if any - chances with the format. Combined with very few girls truly standing out - not even my favorite Candice - and you get a very forgettable show. Even Izabel who I honestly expected to sizzle based on the earlier pictures never really stood out in the TV show itself. And this must have been one of the worst editions when it comes to the music. Very little creativity, no memorable tracks. I can remember shows (like the 2003 one) where the music was one of the best features.

Well yes, that seems to have been the reasoning. We all knew that FIFA was crooked, I just never realized there cared so little about keeping up appearances.

She really has gotten too thin. Her body was so much better a few years ago. Like when she was in The Devil wears Prada.

I have dibs on right midfield! I have little sympathy for the English bid if only for the fact that they were so dismissive of the Belgian-Dutch joint bid. It was not inferior in any way to theirs. The fact that we had four times as many votes as them in the first round was pretty sweet. Doesn't change the fact that FIFA are a bunch of crooks though. But what else is new! The main result of this mess might be that FIFA will have a harder time attracting countries willing to submit a bid, especially in Europe. It also puts question marks around FIFA's respect and anti-racism campaigns. Every black footballer who has played in Russia has experienced racism from the stands. Of course they are not unique in that respect - Spain and Italy still have their own problems in that department. The difference is that their respective governments and FAs are trying to fix the problem whilst their Russian counterparts refuse to even acknowledge it. And I won't even get into the women's rights and homophobia issues that go along with awarding the cup to Qatar. Nor the workers rights abuse that is so systematic in that country that it (nearly) equates slavery. Nice to know that those world cup stadia will be built by a force of immigrant de facto slave laborers. Next time you see a FIFA "RESPECT" ad or poster, spit on it please.

Well I imagine it'll take her some time to get back to where she was financially in say 2007. She only really started working again in early 2010, no? I doubt she'll ever have another year like 2003 though. It's good to have her back though, she has personality.
