It was a disappointment. Only some of the segments with Dwight and Ava worked for me. I found the entire "original" JGL segment underwhelming. Part of the problem is that the visual style, which was groundbreaking at the time, has now been used in many other films, amongst them both "300" films.

BTW, did we ever see anything other than candids for the bit at the end, where they walk the Santa Monica boardwalk and pier?

In a side note, i'm quite shocked to see all these pictures and videos of the fall of Candice, i wonder what kind of pleasure her fans (or not) have to post and spread these images of Candice ? ...I don't get the point to do that.
