  1. To give you an idea of how unforgiving they are: Switzerland won nine of their ten games and still only ended up in second place. So they now have to play a two-game play-off to still make the world cup.
  2. So now even more women have come forward. Are they all lying? Every single one of them? Is there a secret cabal of women who meet up and decide which man's life they are going to ruin that week? Was this week just Harvey Weinstein's turn? Or is the more likely explanation that he is a creep who has used his position to sexually harass/sexually assault women for decades, getting away with it until now due to the power disparity between him and his victims?
  3. Not sure what exactly you are asking for. Harvey Weinstein isn't the only serial abuser who got away with his behavior for years or decades. Your argument seems to be that this is the fault of their victims?
  4. Perhaps it might not have been had there been a possibility of a positive outcome.
  5. Jessica Valenti does a good job of exposing the problem for those Hollywood actresses who knew of Harvey Weinstein's behavior by reputation or rumors.
  6. Why do women not talk? Lets see, on the one hand you have a wealthy Hollywood producer/studio exec who would send an army of lawyers after you and accuse you of libel. So unless you have proof beyond just your word (like witnesses who are willing to come forward) it's a losing proposition to make public accusations. Or you wait to add your own story if/when other women come forward (which is what happened in Cosby's case). Or you are the brave/rare individual who goes ahead with your accusation in spite of the fact that you know it will destroy your career and you have very little chance of winning. We live in a world in which Brock Turner, who was caught in the act raping an unconscious woman, got a joke sentence. So unless a woman is very naive, she knows that the criminal justice system is skewed against her in cases of sexual assault, even when the prosecution has a very strong case. Which isn't the case in a he-said-she-said situation.

Their population is just a bit over 300K. Qualifying for two straight tournaments is a fantastic achievement.
  8. Yep. Please use thumbnail links to make the thread more readable.
  9. I think the difference is that without the Kardashians, there is no way Kendall is in the fashion industry, whilst Kaia might have made it on her own without her parents. She has the right look.
  10. Three more shots from her Instagram account. Why doesn't she get more work?
  11. Gigi should be shoe-in, but then, they have ignored no-brainer choices in the past.
  12. What company are those Natalie Roser Halloween costume shots from?
  13. It's a good thing fascists are nice and never use violence then.
  14. Her street style has been on point but this outfit is a bit of a faux pas imho.
  15. I know that you have to forge the iron whilst it's hot, but isn't she working a lot for a girl her age?
  16. She is cute in these candids.
  17. He certainly had modded magazines, considering the length of gunfire sound between the pauses he needed to take to reload.
  18. Well, what he says about the victims is repulsive, but he is right that if Sandy Hook didn't change anything in terms of gun control legislation, this won't either.
  19. *Shrugs* If Sandy Hook didn't change anything, this won't either. I guess America as a society accepts this as the price they have to pay for their easy access to high-powered guns.
  20. I find her new look so odd. I'm usually not even into larger chests, but it's weird to see her post-breast-reduction. Perhaps it was because she was so well-known for her chest?

Almost all of our attacking players had (very) good weekends, so I am almost convinced they will fail to beat Bosnia Herzegovina next week.
  22. Long-standing mutual resentment fueled by the irresponsible behavior by both the Catalonian and Spanish central government. They have now escalated the situation to a point where something will have to give. Either Rajoy doubles down on the repression or he does major concessions in terms of more autonomy to avoid an actual split of the country.
