Very easily because the statement was directed at one person in particular and was quoted in my post. Expressing you like someone's work and that you would like to see more of them is one thing, but demanding they, (to quote this properly) 'get her off her lazy ass and earn the title supermodel' is excessive and 'to do your job and handle our business' while it may have been meant as tongue in cheek humor coupled with the rest is highly inappropriate. Chances are the guy is tired of hearing about it, and as we know absolutely nothing about what jobs she's been offered if any, or if she is in fact turning them down or has simply requested that she do minimal work there is absolutely no reason to get on his or her case. Not sure why you're getting so sensitive about it though.

I'm not even sure where to start here, but this type of behavior is why they need to up the internet stalking and harassment policy laws. This type of behavior is unacceptable from a teenager let alone a grown adult. Now I don't know your age, or your background, but harassing someones manager or agent to the point where they feel they need to put their Facebook on private and start deleting tweets is absolutely ridiculous. I don't give a shit how much said model doesn't work, that is between them, and you throwing your two cents in there calling her a lazy bitch is not only rude and disrespectful it's incredibly childish. You have no idea why she isn't working, or if he is in fact attempting to get her jobs. Just because you as a fan are unhappy with the amount of work she's putting out does not give you the right to turn into a snipping, yappy dog barking at his heels to get him or her moving. p.s - This is the reason so many people have an abject dislike of Adriana. It's not her, it's because of a lot of her obsessive fans. ^And, this is why in the end we don't get nice things children...

He seems to be going through models like some people go through socks, he's slowing becoming another Leo D. Regardless, hopefully they're happy and it's not just a publicity stunt in order to get more public recognition.

Number of posts has nothing to do with it, MJ day confirmed a while back that they on average see around 200 girls each year for the "rookie" class. On average, they bring forward half their rookie class from the previous year, though there have been a few exceptions. Nor did any of us say that none of the girls shown would make it in the issue, just that there was a strong likelihood that they are showing us their "weaker" candidates. ^ as for the bold section, I'm not sure I follow you. For the past several years it's been a great big secret as to who their rookies are, this new Swim Daily, where they're posting castings is to keep our attention year round, but why in the world would they all of a sudden choose to take away half the hype factor and just give us a list of who their new rookies are going to be. That to me seems like a rather dumb strategy.- 2014 SI Swimsuit
You do realize that they are not posting all the casting calls? We're getting a small snippet of the girls they're seeing...- 2014 SI Swimsuit
And what exactly do you mean by new brand-defining? Blond hair blue eyes? "curvy"? "American" which brand defining mark are we looking at? Brooklyn Decker was barely a blip in the fashion community when it came to swimsuit, the average layman didn't know who she was, she was a pretty blond, but overall she was fairly forgettable. She dated a famous tennis player, went on to movies and has a few decent-ish titles under her belt, but again is still fairly irrelevant. Nina, I will say is still relatively unforgettable to me as well, unless Pretty is in the room, but that's a whole other story, whereas Kate who is the top searched model currently in the world, and the first model to have back to back covers in almost 20 years with SI, could probably be defined as how I'm interpreting you're "new brand-defining swimsuit model" but maybe I'm wrong and you're just throwing out personal conjecture and opinion.- The Official Victoria's Secret Thread
Or, and this might come as a big shocker to everyone, these girls are all put on a pedestal. They are the face of a brand, a very public brand and they aren't seasonal models, they are fully contracted to work, and regardless of their attitude that contract wont be broken because that could/would mean a potential lawsuit. Chances are almost every single one of these girls is a diva, or very close to one, but they are edited to look a certain way and told to act a specific way in public. Ie. Act this way in public, sell an image and regardless of how much of a nightmare you are to work with behind the scenes you'll be re-signed at the end of your contract, because the public blindly loves a happy/sexy image. I would be willing to guarantee you a lot of these models who have their asses kissed by their fans may start off as very humble, but as time progresses their attitudes shift to more along the lines of my sh*t doesn't stink, and I can do no wrong.- The Official Victoria's Secret Thread

Hooker get your ass on skype.. don't make me call you And that video was never released to the public if I can recall correctly.- Emily Didonato
I believe that ship sailed a while ago, not sure why we're still talking about it. Is she carrying a big puffy red plastic-ish blanket? or is that a dress of some sort?- Kate Upton
People seem to think the term Supermodel is a term used for the fashion community, and the fashion world, it's not really. It was a term coined for the households of America, where a model had gained enough recognition that your average layman could recognize the name and/or face.- Elyse Taylor
Agreed! I've always been a fan of Elyse, but seeing her as a brunette just wow! It really brings out her features beautifully.- Emily Didonato
Yes, the mods come in because the posts are reported... mods don't lurk around looking for the word fat only to pounce and call us all naughty children who deserve a time out... Plus staff have lives, they don't come on 24/7. For instance, Pretty was on around 7 in the morning, and has been gaming with me on WoW all day since.. If you feel what's being said is in violation of the rules of the board report it, and I'm sure a moderator will get around to it as soon as they log on and see the little flashing button at the top of their screen.- The Official Victoria's Secret Thread
Agreed. Walking down the street I would probably give her a double take and say wow. She's still a stunning woman, but she is definitely starting to look her age, not to mention she looks tired. Maybe it was the wash over the video, or the editing, but she seems to be in the same boat we all said Miranda was in a few years back. Bored, tired and somewhat disinterested. Pose here. Look there. Sexy face. Are we done yet?- The Official Victoria's Secret Thread
I don't really see her trying to milk another 15 minutes. Based on what's said, she doesn't seem to be trading on the fact that she was a model for VS, or anyone else. She simply talks about her childhood, a charity she's now a part of and what she's been able to do for her family due to her success. Unless they took out the information where she was talking about working for the company it's simply a touching article showing her success and what she's done to give back to family and those who are in the similar situations she was as a child. It seems the person writing the article traded more on the VS name to get hits for her article, then Selita did.- Emily Didonato
Most of the VS comments about Karlie are in regards to weight, which is already a restricted topic, the comments on Emily are not.. See, there is a difference, and it has little to do with favoritism.- Emily Didonato
Because social media has become so prevalent in modern society, the intangible icon that was a model has become more approachable and so there are different expectations of successful models now then there were in the 90's or even the early 2000's. No one has said Emily is a bitch, or that she is a mean-spirited person. They have only expressed that as she has found little time for any of her fan base online and that they find her a little chilly as she has clearly been able to respond to people within the fashion community on for example twitter but will not even give a simple thank you for the continued support of all her fans, or even respond to a question about something so simple as the breed of a dog she posted a picture of. Clearly, as has been stated by a few different sources she is quite lovely to work with, and a consummate professional, and of course she is quite a lovely looking young woman, which no one has denied, however many fans are taking what some people have expressed as constructive criticism as a type of personal attack against Emily, or even against their own views. I don't think that has been the intent of anyone at this time. Mermaid in Love, I sent you a private message to address a few other points. Hope everyone has a great day.- Emily Didonato
It's great how only "negative" opinions are the broken record, but the positive opinions regardless of how numerously voiced are never considered such. A forum is a place for discussions, a two way street so to speak and yet threads like Emily, Bar, Adriana and a few others all seem pretty one way. Wonder how many of these posts have been brought to mods attention because they're "not appropriate" or mean spirited. Just saying.- Charlotte Free
