  1. I want this thread to stop being a rant fest and actually be a place we can come to for updates on the company and not just personal conjecture and wild speculation but I don't see that happening any time soon either.
  2. I think the best part out of all of this is you guys latch on to one or two words made in a post and completely disregard the rest....
  3. Now imagine what those will look like in 20 years... even sexier
  4. Ever stop to think that the reason they picked up Karlie is because of people like you two... she illicits debate, which in turn gets people talking about the brand, which generates interest. Meaning she may not be selling the lingerie, but she's bringing people's attention to the company, and thus she's doing a type of marketing that none of the other girls are doing. The adage "there's no such thing as bad press" holds true as someone said earlier. It's why so many music artists generate negative press for themselves, because negative or positive getting your name in the media, and on peoples lips is a good thing.
  5. Larger pictures/complete editorial as featured in the magazine.
  6. 2012 Kate Upton last confirmed, though the sales numbers for this year aren't completed. Last I heard this year was doing quite well too though, so at this point it's up in the air. Best selling issue of all time was the 25th anniversary edition with Kathy Ireland, so the 50th will quite probably sell relatively well.
  7. No apparently they're part of the same shoot. Called The Animal Nursery. Or that's what a bunch of different sites are saying. It's a 16 page editorial featuring Kate, Irina and the other girls that will be featured in all 26 publications of Harper's Bazaar over the next few months. o.0 Not sure how those pictures are going to fit in with the Irina shoot... they whole feel between the two girls and the animals they're holding are so polar opposite o.0
  8. Why does Kate's editorial look almost identical to Irina Harper's Bazaar editorial? Same clothing for the most part, same background, same animals. One just look like Peta's wetdream with clothes, and the other looks like the models don't give a shit about their props.
  9. Emily Didonato I believe
  10. The trick is to define the "top" Kathy Ireland might be the "top". She runs a 2 billion $ empire. http://en.wikipedia....i/Kathy_ireland In a May 2012 British Vogue article, Ireland was called the world's richest model over Anne V and Gisele Bündchen http://www.celebrity...50-million_474/
  11. I'm not honestly impressed with the unedited versions. Nina looks about 5 years older. Though I will say they have a much more nostalgic vibe then the air brushed versions which in it's own way is somewhat nice.
  12. How many people do you know in the habit of sleeping 14 hours, when they're quite probably excited because they have a big shoot for a fairly illustrious magazine that only happens once a year. Especially considering she probably thought she had a fairly good chance of getting the cover? And missy, don't you dare say a damn thing about me. I've acknowledged I sleep like a cat when given the chance, but even I don't stay sleeping for that long straight. I have lucid periods where I get up, use the rest room, get a drink, that sorta thing.
  13. The question is, why hadn't she ate or drank anything. I've been on flights that are that long and you sleep for a while, but there are moments of wakefulness. When she stood, if she was truly that dehydrated and famished she should have thought about grabbing a water bottle and something to eat before going to the shoot. Ignoring basic bodily functions is fine and dandy in life threatening situations, doing so because you're on a flight and going to a photo shoot is just plain stupid.
  14. They should make a men's line of VS so we can see half naked men. mkay? ya I thought so. Maybe that's Victoria's Secret.. Makes sense right?
  15. It's like the Hunger Games. Survival of the fittest... or the biggest o.0 Oh god, it's roleplay and a subtle attempt to get the male audience in, like UFC fighting or WWE wrestling. And obviously the teenagers, because of the Hunger Games. They eat that shit up. WIN! MissL, Pretty, we need to be VS's marketing team, we would have mad sales.
  16. Do not mock my leet drawing skills.. There's a reason some of the outfits don't translate well when Todd makes them. I'm not to fancy with my paint skills
  17. Wait, they could open and close the show, or a segment. And the fantasy bra would finally get the attention it deserves!
  18. ^ omg, MissL you are beyond BRILLIANT. Cara with a purple amethyst bra, carrying a scepter with a crown, (must represent the monarchy after all) with some boy bander bumping and grinding on the runway behind her, and then Seal and Heidi... singing a love song before going off stage and us getting the backstage clip of the killer eyes, (because they are no longer together). Beyond brilliant... I love it! Besides, it's about time we had a purple bra, the amethyst is patently being ignored by VS. What's wrong with purple.. pfft.
  19. Unless you're willing to pay for it, you probably wont find any downloadable pdf copies of it. They rarely crop up, and generally when they do it's the South Africa edition. On a side note, I have an extra poster sized copy of the cover, think I should give it to my brother or put it away for collecting purposes?
  20. I'm assuming you meant no one... and this thread has been hijacked by so many side topics in the past, even taking the last two pages out of account it's ridiculous, so I don't really see why no one should respond. Whatever works for you I guess.
  21. Yes, the written word has a great impact on many people lives, for instance the Canadian tennis player, Rebecca Marino recently retired due to online harassment and abuse, and of course you have cases such as Amanda Todd who is an extreme and tragic situation. However in defense, many people need to stop being so damn sensitive and just step away from the situation, (obviously not always possible, but generally it's the people who keep going back and reading the same shit that have the issues). Keeping in mind, that nameless person behind a monitor somewhere else telling you that you're lame, or stupid, or ugly doesn't know you, and if the situation gets to such an extreme, common sense would dictate that you simply leave. No one is forcing anyone to stay around and deal with the comments. It's like going to a party where you know you're going to be mocked and abused, stupid. Anonymity has taken over the internet with things like /b/ and 4chan leading the charge. Faceless hackers who attack people with impunity, with very little real life consequence. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that you take the risk when you go online and start speaking with a bunch of strangers. And that's what everyone on here is, no matter how many personal, pertinent details we share about ourselves, we are in essence strangers. Trolls are becoming more and more common place, not necessarily because they're trying to hurt people, but because the Facebook generation expresses itself differently then the older generation, and their expression quite commonly comes across as very juvenile. Meme's and .gifs are becoming more common place because emotion, and sarcasm quite commonly cannot be expressed adequately via text. So the whole idea of being a bleeding heart for every negative comment, or "mean" picture is laughable at best. You're setting yourself up for heartache and a headache. The quote learn it, live it, love it definitely applies to this as does, let it go and move on. Social media isn't going to change in the near future perhaps we need to evolve our outlook and take steps to alleviate the situation. Answer: Because this is the i-n-t-e-r-n-e-t, and people have opinions (both positive and negative) and like to share them? Better late then never: Welcome to the Internet, please enjoy your stay, and if the butt-hurt gets to be too much... no one cares
