definitely the promising lineup, a lot of beautiful newbies that made me have hope for the future of VS (Duckie, Mélie, Lorena, Kelsey, Sofie, Willow etc) and my faves finally having their comeback after years of being rejected (Barbara P, Toni, Shanina). Also, I’m so glad they stopped convering all the girls with unnecessary crap covering their legs, chest or torso, there was more of a focus on lingerie (with the exception of MK X VS) and we saw A LOT of skin than usual this year which made me happy. I’m also very happy both Lais AND Jasmine finally got to open segments, Elsa got to close with her FB and the well-deserved Adriana farewell tribute :’) I hope next year we have more segments again and Angels can finally go back to wearing 3 outfits.

This is what we should’ve gotten from the Flights of Fancy segment....instead we got cheap arts and crafts wings that made a lot of the girls look like moths

Absolutely! Couldn’t agree more. Celestial Angels should’ve been the opening segment and Taylor’s opening I don’t blame on her walk at all, it was just the pace of that awful song that slowed her down. The song is empowering but not a runway song at all. I really hope they end up editing the order when it airs (even tho I still wanna see Adri close the whole show )

Looking at all the videos now.....the performances were AWFUL this year. What an absolutely disaster. Leela James was waaaay too extra, looked like a drag queen and picked the worst song to open with...zero energy and awful show opener. Kelsea and The Chainsmokers had NO energy and rhythm and looked completely lost on the stage/runway (the whole audience was dying of boredom when they performed in Golden Girls), Halsey CANNOT sing live for shit she sounds like a dying goat, Bebe Rexha was okay but still..who is she? and Rita Ora is such an annoying camera whore, sis nobody even knew you were a singer up until a few days ago, go somewhere you Rihanna wannabe. They should’ve just kept Shawn Mendes and The Struts, they were the only good performances in the whole show especially the Struts.

Couldn’t agree more. I could bet my money on it that if VS ever asked her to walk the fashion show one year, she’d do it in a heartbeat. Even if VS would ever become more size inclusive, they definitely wouldn’t pick a model with her measurements.

Literally found out about her when they announced the collab lmaooo and yes, she and Sophia are really good friends and have been for 10+ years. They’re both Greek-British too which I found interesting

-No more goddamn collabs please. It’s a waste of money and it’s so fucking tacky. After the Mary K collab, I just hope VS strains from these designer collaborations in the future and it doesn’t become a norm. -axe Sophia, Ed, and Monica and hire a whole new team of people who actually care for the reputation of the brand and value quality over quantity -Also I’m gonna need my remixes back please...Shawn Mendes was the only “A-list” (more B-list imo) performer and stood out like a sore thumb with the other nobodies. There should be 2-3 performers MAX. This year’s show felt like a damn music awards show with all the performers. -BRING BACK THE OG GLAMAZON GLITTER RUNWAY circa 2003-2007! I used to love watching a model’s heels stomp fiercely on it and you would see glitter flowing in the air as they walk -and finally, GIVE THE ANGELS 3 OUTFITS! How the fuck you managed to have 7 segments this year yet still NONE of your Angels..not even your 3 veterans ESPECIALLY Adriana got 3 looks? ridiculous. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

“as a line-up, it feels more like a lower tier awards show grab-bag than back in the day when the performer would be Rihanna or Taylor Swift.” SHEESH not wrong though, it did feel like an awards show

+100000. All the attention is on Adriana (deservedly so), not one mention about the SO, segment openers or segment closers and all the swarovski wings they gave all the girls. If they knew this was gonna be Adri’s last year, there was literally no point in giving a model the FB or SO since all these articles now are about Adri’s departure and the nepo crew. They could’ve really saved so much money.

My overall thoughts on the show: not my favorite but some of y’all are REALLY overreacting because this show was far better than the bullshit we got 2015-2017... 1. I’m so glad there was actually a focus on lingerie and being sexy, other than the CATASTROPHIC MK x VS segment, this year wasn’t so excessive with props or unnecessary wings. 2. My favorite segments were Celestial Angels and Flights of Fancy. I also REALLY liked Glam Royal because I’m obsessed with plaid and tartan print lol but most of the looks in these segments were very original and beautiful 3. Taylor’s opening was awful but I’m not gonna blame her, in fact I got a new soft spot for her after this year’s show. She knows she can’t walk and yet VS still let her open the whole show in an OK outfit, slow and boring ass song...what a mess. I hope they change the order when it airs and Flights of Fancy opens the show or something 4. Very few standout looks this year, I only loved about 4-6 looks maximum but once again, much better than 2016 and 2017 in terms of looks. 5. Still mad they did my baby Duckie wrong by throwing her in that fugly segment dressed like a clown smh yet they give that bully Winnie 2 fucking looks. Fuck you VS. 6. They did so many models and Angels dirty this year, Bella and Kendall has some of the BEST looks in the show and Candice wore a T-Shirt with a corset and arts and crafts wings...priorities VS. 7. After this year’s show, I can see a huge stumble in the ratings and also a few names being dropped in the lineup. I’ve read rumors that it’s not just Adriana leaving but also Behati, Lily and Martha too but I can guarantee Lily will walk at least one more show, same with Behati.

Agreed. Gaga was an amazing performer, it’s just her backup dancers that got in the way...they should’ve have been on the runway that year AT ALL. It was so confusing to see what the models were wearing because of them but that’s not on Gaga..

Other than Adriana, this year was really hard to distinguish Angels from the other models..
