+1. I really wish they wouldve reduced the lineup to at least 4 girls...6-8 MAX before adding Barbara or any new Angel in that lineup for that matter. Agreed with making Gigi an Angel but not Bella, she’s waaaaay to successful in HF and her other ventures, VS would be such a huge setback for her career especially financially speaking since she makes twice the amount of money the Angels do just for walking one show in NY or Paris etc. Gigi and maybe a model of colour like Leomie or Kelly would’ve been a nice touch, bringing the Angel lineup to 7 which I think is perfect. Could never go wrong with that and finally 3 outfits again but alas, only in a dream world smh sidenote: I cannot believe the last time we saw Angels wearing 3 outfits and actually standing out in the show was 5 years ago in the 2014 show...that’s fucking ridiculous

True! Romee really proved herself recently that I’m starting to actually like her...she really has such a presence on and off the runway. I think she and Jas will be the HBIC in charge after the old Angels leave. I would say Elsa too but her time is up.

Random and don’t get me wrong but I love Jasmine, but am I the only one that finds her so boring off of the runway? I don’t know what it is about her but she doesn’t have that “spark” that she used to have when she first became an Angel, now she’s pretty much indistinguishable from the likes of Stella, Martha, Romee and Taylor (boring Angel crew) Hell, even Lais who y’all like to call a bore fest on the runway has more of a personality than her irl...

I think VS is already making Barbara lose weight... she looks very thin at this event, I almost didn’t recognize her

Lol it’s safe to say we’re not getting a new Angel anytime soon. I called it, only 2 new Angels and then the next will probably receive the Josephine treatment and be announced a few months later maybe. Which will most likely be Grace, Lorena, Aiden or Lameka.

She’s very lovely though in person I heard and she’s very beautiful so I don’t mind her shooting for them but if she ever goes on the runway, it’ll be a disaster. Sis has been modeling for nearly a decade and can’t even walk or has any presence on the runway?!! A mess...

I pray to GOD, Jasmine doesn’t walk the show. I still don’t understand how she’s a model, she’s really just another pretty face to me with nothing to offer (IMO).

Also, it doesn’t help that they stopped doing the Angels intros since 2015...literally no one knows any of them by a first name basis, it’s ridiculous. I would absolutely hate to be an Angel today if I were offered a contract...but if we’re talking about 2003-2010? hell fucking yes.

I couldn’t agree more. I love Barbara but she couldn’t have been an Angel at such a worser time for VS. The brand is hanging off the edge of a cliff and I wouldn’t be surprised if 2020 would be the last year of the VSFS. VS was really stupid doing the 10 New Angels nonsense, it had no impact on the brand whatsoever and made things worse. A solid Angel lineup should be 6-8 Angels MAX. The general public doesn’t even know any of the New Angels names (except maybe Taylor or Jasmine) because they’re bland and are not powerhouse models like during its Golden Era when the Angels were household names and were on the same level of actors/actresses in terms of success...I really hope Grace was smart enough to say no thank you to a contract.

Anyways...Barbara is fucking fierce and whoever said her walk is terrible needs to have several seats. I can definitely see her, Jasmine and Elsa being HBIC once Candice and Bee leave. This girl was MADE to be an Angel.

If you see an interview of her from several years ago (I’ll try to see if it’s on YouTube but I saw it on TV, I think it was for Maybelline?) but she was 18 at the time and was so mature, wellspoken and quite funny. She wasn’t trying too hard or being extra or trying to be “quirky” or “relatable”, it was just her being her natural self and I surprisingly found her very pleasant. I think ever since she got into VS, she changed up her whole personality to appeal to people but the gag is...it just made everyone hate her ass lol I hope she reverts back to her original self. Then, she’d be more tolerable.

Oh please, there should’ve been an Asian Angel long before a redhead one. VS had their chance with Cintia but fucked it up for themselves...she could’ve been the first redhead Angel during 2010 with Candice and the others.

My dream New Angels lineup would be: 1. Jasmine 2. Lais 3. Taylor 4. Barbara 5. Grace 6. Frida 7. Leomie 8. Lorena Nice and small simple lineup with gorgeous bombshell girls who can AND will deliver. Also with this *fantasy* lineup (lol) we can go back to giving the Angels 3 outfits only in my dreams though...always loved Elsa, but she’s not really my cup of tea anymore because of her new face so she can go, Sara is never really under my radar because she’s severely underused by VS so I don’t think twice about her tbh, JoJo is...well JoJo so bye sis lol, never cared for Stella and I like Martha but she bores me to death so they can both go too, also I didn’t include Candice or Bee because they’ll be leaving within a year or two anyway.

I was hoping so too. If they’re paired off together then that would be perfect because they would balance each other’s personalities very well. I hope VS already strategized how to utilize Alexina as an Angel or this will be a disaster.

Sis...she has the personality of a 13 year old and is damn near 30. There is nothing sexy about her at all. She’s gorgeous, no doubt about that, but that’s about it if we’re being really honest. She lacks sex appeal because of how cringe she is.

YESSSS to Alanna! That girl has it all! I almost forgot about her! and I love Kelly but the whole workout obsessed thing makes me hope she’ll NEVER be an angel...she’s too much.

I can’t even imagine how Alexina must feel reading all of those youtube comments and VS IG comments about her after the hellfire she received last year just from the show alone, if I were her I wouldn’t even entertain the idea of being an Angel for mental health reasons but congrats to her and I hope she doesn’t let all the hate get to her head, she’s NOT my cup of tea, I hate her on runway (she’s gorgeous in print tho), I wish she was only a VS catalogue model and she’s waaaay too extra and cringe for no reason at her grown ass age , but I do feel bad for her. People are being crazy harsh and the death threats are too much. Relax, it’s just a fucking Angel contract not the presidency.

I honestly think this may be Candice and Behati’s last year...I figured when Adriana left, she would be quickly replaced and I was right, Barbara P. filled in that spot and with Lily gone as well, I’m pretty certain Alexina filled in her spot as well, so I doubt we’d see more angels anytime soon as of yet until Candice and Bee leave. I can imagine them reaching 20 Angels at this point and I wouldn’t even be upset as long as they add more amazing models..ESPECIALLY more models of color, I love Lais and Jasmine but they have such a specific look that’s very “safe” if you know what I mean, Im upset that for a British Angel they picked Alexina over Queen Leomie Anderson as an Angel...she has the look, PERFECT spokesmodel who could easily sell the fuck out of anything, she’s sexy, good runway walk, VERY entertaining, very well known in the industry and already has huge public platform and is an entrepreneur in training. Also, Aiden Curtiss (fell in love with her after last year’s show), Maria B (that’s if she ever returns), Ming or Sui (I think those ships have sailed a long time ago tho), Lorena or Frida. I definitely think Grace E. turned down a contract with VS to focus more on HF since that’s where her prime income and success is coming from mainly, same reason certain successful HF models stayed faaaaar away from VS in the early 00s during its golden years, to not be tied down to brand.

Yea...I remember when Chanel Iman was announced as an Angel, everyone went ape shit (both here and on FashionSpot) and started calling her a 12 yo boy, how she’s too skinny, not pretty enough, too energetic, too young and how it was the end of VS...mind you that was 10 years ago. But then again, she only lasted a year and many people forgot about her lol same goes for Karlie Kloss, she didn’t receive a warm welcome as an Angel too in 2011...for similar reasons, too skinny, too HF, not pretty enough etc etc

They said another Angel will be revealed tomorrow which most likely is Grace E. Then again VS is full of surprises so I wouldn’t even rule out Alexina, Lameka or even Lorena tbh

so....can we please let some Angels go now so we can FINALLY have a solid lineup where the girls are properly distributed and they can get 3 outfits again??? Stella, Lily and Behati all need to go. That’ll leave us with only 9 Angels which is still too many but more than enough.
