I highly doubt we’ll get another Angel announcement anytime soon. If there’s ever gonna be a new Angel (my bets are on Lorena for sure tho) she’ll receive the Jojo treatment and her announcement will be several months from now. After they cut a few more Angels from the lineup of course. I really hope it’s not just the veterans who are being replaced because other than Jasmine, none of the current new Angels (since 2015) bring anything to the brand. Taylor had sooo much potential because I find her gorgeous but she’s so over VS that it’s kinda hard to watch. I used to love Elsa but my girl got a show opening, a Swarovski outfit and a FB...there’s nothing left for her so I’ll be fine with her leaving. Lais already got the most beautiful FB and finally got to open a segment again so I’ll be fine with her leaving. We need a whole new fresh lineup with ALL new girls imo (excluding Leomie, Barbara, Grace and Alexina of course).

Same here. You have 3 well established models in the industry that you gave contracts yet you still give Alexina a contract as well? Just an unnecessary Angel position filled up. She’s gonna be a filler Angel a la Stella or Martha imo.

I think she and Barbara will open a segment, while Leomie may close a segment or wear the SO and Alexina may close as well or wear the SW.

I really hope more Angels from the current lineup are cut off I would hate to be an Angel at this point if I have to share the spotlight and accolades with like 14+ other girls imo. Perfect Angel lineup right now would be Jasmine, Taylor, Romee, Barbara, Leomie and Grace. Just six beautiful girls who can easily put this brand back on track imo. Everyone else can go and exit to the left.

This is defimitely Behati’s last year and last show and then she’s out so technically, I wouldn’t even consider her an Angel anymore. Candice won’t be out till 2020 so she’ll be the only old Angel left.

I think Grace’s HF career should be okay, she probably won’t land as many campaigns or editorials as before but when it comes to runway work...she’ll be fine. Look at Stella, Taylor, Martha and Candice lol

Only Alessandra, Lily, Adriana and Behati are out. Barbara, Alexina, Leomie and Grace replaced them. Candice won’t leave till after 2020 since she renewed her contract for 3 years when she came back in 2017.

Unrealistically speaking I would love for them to return to only 35-40 girls walking the show total. All elite top models who know how to serve and walk. Angels would get 3 outfits and two wings, veterans would get 2 outfits and one pair of wings. Only 2 musical performers and the rest remixes. New York City would be the ideal location as always so they don’t waste money of course.

Agreed, with Barbara and Leomie both being Angels has garnered a lot of global media attention. So many celebrities and social media personalities were congratulating Leomie, make she and Babs Angels was the smartest decision that brand has made in a while. I can definitely feel the bombshell golden era sexy vibes from the both of them. Can’t wait to see what they bring to table for holiday commercials, press events and the fashion show of course!

This is news to me...good god that girl is a perpetual teenager lol in a good way of course and I almost keep forgetting Alexina is damn near 30, that’s so tragic considering the way she acts. All that aside though, the idea of them being Angels is long gone I meant. VS would’ve AND should’ve made them Angels a while ago so I stopped clinging to that hope. If there will ever be an Asian Angel, wish I pray to God there will be, it’ll be someone fresh and new like Kelsey or someone who’s already been with the brand for a while like Kelly. While I don’t mind either of them, I personally would like a fully Asian Angel like Sui or Ming and not someone biracial imo but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose.

who is arguing about skin tones? lol there’s obviously and visibly a clear difference in skintone amongst Selita, Chanel and Leomie. A dark skinned girl or model doesn’t get the same treatment as a light skinned one, it’s common sense and a dark skinned girl will most likely see herself in someone like Leomie than someone like Chanel who’s light and mixed-race. If you’re so pressed about it, complain about why Alexina was made an Angel since she was hired solely for her hair color if we’re being honest. Diversity doesn’t mean different hair colors.

what Asian Angel could they even hire at this point? Ming and Sui are way past their prime and should’ve been offered contracts in 2017. Both of them are 30+ and no other Asian model has modeled for VS as often as they have (except Kelsey). If Kelsey steps up her game and at least walks another show or two maybe she’ll be the first “Asian” Angel or even Kelly Gale since she’s been with the brand for years but they’re both mixed-race? Ming and Sui are finished, they named them Ambassador Angels for China or whatever it was for a reason, they’re Angels without the actual title already.

All the Angels who were hired in 2015 are no longer New Angels, especially considering Lily, Behati and Candice will be out (Lily is already out, this will def be Bee’s last show and Candice will most likely leave 2020). I now consider Babs, Alexina and Leomie as the New Angels.

Unlike the other Angels, Leomie has personality on the runway and lets that shine through her walk and pose (especially last year’s show during Floral Fantasy...she was FIERCE, a little extra but still that’s how you fucking do it without being too over the top, take notes Alexina). I hope she’ll get to open a segment or close one this year!

As someone who is dark complexioned, I’m very happy for Leomie! It’s about time we have a dark skinned black Angel who visibly looks black and is a advocate for diversity in the industry tbh! Tyra was light skinned with green eyes, Selita was light skinned, Chanel was also light skinned and mixed with Korean, Lais is Brazilian so by default she’s visibly mixed with European and Native ancestry and Jasmine is mixed with part White/European ancestry through her grandma and doesn’t really associate with other black models so honestly...it was like VS was sending a message that the only black girls that are worthy of being Angels and are beautiful enough to be Angels are the ones that don’t look completely black..so this is such a breath of fresh air Leomie is wonderful spokesmodel so I hope VS is smart enough to utilize her for press events because that’s where she really shines. I literally don’t care for any of the current Angels rn so Leomie is automatically my new fave Angel! I’ve been following her career since she first began and was dating male model Harry Uzoka (RIP).
