I can’t even imagine how Alexina must feel reading all of those youtube comments and VS IG comments about her after the hellfire she received last year just from the show alone, if I were her I wouldn’t even entertain the idea of being an Angel for mental health reasons but congrats to her and I hope she doesn’t let all the hate get to her head, she’s NOT my cup of tea, I hate her on runway (she’s gorgeous in print tho), I wish she was only a VS catalogue model and she’s waaaay too extra and cringe for no reason at her grown ass age , but I do feel bad for her. People are being crazy harsh and the death threats are too much. Relax, it’s just a fucking Angel contract not the presidency.

I honestly think this may be Candice and Behati’s last year...I figured when Adriana left, she would be quickly replaced and I was right, Barbara P. filled in that spot and with Lily gone as well, I’m pretty certain Alexina filled in her spot as well, so I doubt we’d see more angels anytime soon as of yet until Candice and Bee leave. I can imagine them reaching 20 Angels at this point and I wouldn’t even be upset as long as they add more amazing models..ESPECIALLY more models of color, I love Lais and Jasmine but they have such a specific look that’s very “safe” if you know what I mean, Im upset that for a British Angel they picked Alexina over Queen Leomie Anderson as an Angel...she has the look, PERFECT spokesmodel who could easily sell the fuck out of anything, she’s sexy, good runway walk, VERY entertaining, very well known in the industry and already has huge public platform and is an entrepreneur in training. Also, Aiden Curtiss (fell in love with her after last year’s show), Maria B (that’s if she ever returns), Ming or Sui (I think those ships have sailed a long time ago tho), Lorena or Frida. I definitely think Grace E. turned down a contract with VS to focus more on HF since that’s where her prime income and success is coming from mainly, same reason certain successful HF models stayed faaaaar away from VS in the early 00s during its golden years, to not be tied down to brand.

Yea...I remember when Chanel Iman was announced as an Angel, everyone went ape shit (both here and on FashionSpot) and started calling her a 12 yo boy, how she’s too skinny, not pretty enough, too energetic, too young and how it was the end of VS...mind you that was 10 years ago. But then again, she only lasted a year and many people forgot about her lol same goes for Karlie Kloss, she didn’t receive a warm welcome as an Angel too in 2011...for similar reasons, too skinny, too HF, not pretty enough etc etc

They said another Angel will be revealed tomorrow which most likely is Grace E. Then again VS is full of surprises so I wouldn’t even rule out Alexina, Lameka or even Lorena tbh

so....can we please let some Angels go now so we can FINALLY have a solid lineup where the girls are properly distributed and they can get 3 outfits again??? Stella, Lily and Behati all need to go. That’ll leave us with only 9 Angels which is still too many but more than enough.

I was never a fan of Sara (her personality sucks) but she’s an amazing model and Angel but VS did her absolute dirty this year! Romee got the SO and got to close a segment, Martha got to both open and a close a segment...like really? I feel so bad because she was literally the only Angel that didn’t get shit this year! Maybe it’s payback and karma for bringing Sadie’s ass on the show lmao

How was Karlie’s walk bad in 2011? From what I remember when the show aired, ppl all over Twitter and Facebook people were bashing how disgustingly thin she was but how she and Candice had the best walks out of all the Angels 🤔 her pose was awful tho

What’s really sad about this year is that we’re not ONE pair of memorable or iconic wings like their usually is every year...except the ugly parachutes. What a huge disappointment, I give it 2 years till it’s axed.

Honestly, I think casting a trans or plus size model won’t realky change much in terms of viewership or ratings. People will talk about it on social media of course but that’s about it. What VS needs to do is get legit supermodels back to the brand that actually look like sexy bombshells. The cute vibe the brand has been shoving down our throat for years is clearly not working anymore. I rather we see models with fierce walks on the runway and better music/performers and production over plus size or trans models walking.

+2. I rather see actual trans MODELS not some IG trans thot blowup doll Kardashian lookalike but legit models like Valentina Sampaio or Leyna Bloom, they’re absolutely gorgeous!

I must say...after this year’s show, I’m complrely sold on The Struts, I had my doubts when they announced the performers but they absolutely killed it this year!! and their music is really good! I can’t get “In Love With A Camera” out of my head I really hope they return again in the future (if VSFS is still airing that is lmao)

Like who the hell decided in this meeting “ok let’s make a segment based off of a 80s sitcom of elderly women who live together”....VS needs to die already, I cannot.

PETITION TO HAVE FLORENCE + THE MACHINE PERFORM NEXT YEAR!!!! All her songs are good for the runway and she’s such a powerful performer and won’t take the attention away from the models. But if she performs, I rather it just be her and no other performer. She’s an act all on her own (like Beyoncé lmao)

I’m still mad they didn’t pick Cardi B to perform this year, Im not really a fan of her since she’s way to obnoxious and ghetto for me but I think she would’ve gotten the ratings to improve and she’s a good lively performer. The lineup this year should’ve been: Cardi B, Drake, Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes

This is the first year I actually forgot about the veterans EXCEPT Adriana (for obvious reasons) goes to show what’s gonna become of them next year...Candice slayed but barely had any screen time behind the scenes, only during Golden Angels and Celestial Angels (VS did Lais dirty by letting Candice walk second after her ) Behati was practically nonexistent this year...like I really forgot she was in the show because I honestly thought they would make a little welcome back segment for her considering she’s been gone for 2 whole years.

I’m not talking about the general public tho but Behati’s supposedly millions of fans(bots) lmaooo you would think the way they hype her up she would’ve been trending too but then again, not even Adriana was trending last night (only on the actual day of the show). Shawn Mendes is prob the most relevant male singer atm with a huge global fan base, but I agree....he’s still C-List but I’m surprised no one tuned in to see him perform and he wasn't trending as well. I remember the HUGE press and explosion on social media when Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars even The Weeknd performed. Many ppl watched the show just for them. Goes to show, performers don’t mean shit anymore, people just want a good fashion show.

I’m totally with it. Gives them MORE than enough time to get their shit together, fire some people (Sophia, Ed and Monica byeeee), hire a whole new creative team, get rid of some useless Angels and boring ass regulars and introduce a fresh new lineup and also distribute that money to something more meaningful for the brand. Kinda like how there wasn’t a 2004 show but in 2005...they made sure to come back with a BANG

I’m not surprised with the low ratings, they BARELY promoted the show at all this year and most people didn’t even know it was on last night since they’re not used to it being on a Sunday and on ABC no less. People are asleep and getting ready for work/school and also Ed’s comments didn’t really help either. I’m just shocked that since it’s Adriana’s farewell, Behati’s return, the nepo models walking and Shawn Mendes performing that would’ve at least skyrocketed the ratings but guess not..VS never learns. Overall, I did enjoy the show...definitely better than last years. I give it a 7.2/10.
