Since there’s definitely no VSFS this year, anyone wants to livestream the Fenty x Savage Show this Friday? it’d be fun to compare and contrast and I’m very curious to see how it’ll all come together, from what I’ve seen...the runway and set is AMAZING! also, a LOT of former VS models are walking too and it would be pretty fun to see if said models are any better walking this show compared to VS or worse lol

I’m so glad I’m not the only that thinks that! omg I love her and always has since the beginning of her career but she’s very “safe” if that makes sense which becomes very boring overtime and I wish she would go back to doing more HF or runway, I miss seeing her out of VS tbh but it seems she got waaaay too comfortable and limited her options compared to other black models.

Agreed. +Jasmine even though she’s such a bore to me lol Only those Angels are truly captivating to me personality wise and appearance wise and they truly remind me of what VS Angels should be. One can only dream the lineup is ever that small again

Random...but, Lindsay Ellingson looks freaking AMAZING! She was never a fave Angel of mine but my god, she has such a naturally beautiful face that lights up a room and is just so contagious. I love how naturally bubbly and kind she seems Despite how underrated she is, I truly think she think she should’ve been more used by VS.

As she should! The fact that her show is gaining more public interest (due it being on a streaming platform like Amazon Prime Video, her showcasing diverse body sizes/races, lingerie pieces that are actually breathtaking and unique, elaborate makeup, having a fierce line up and models who can actually walk and non-mediocre performers and music) I can expect nothing but the BEST from this show...VS is shaking lmaoooo I wonder if she’ll do something like “Angels” that’ll make certain models of her brand stand out? 🤔 don’t forget (if you’re interested and have Amazon Prime) to watch the fashion show being streamed on September 20!

This may be a bit of a stretch and reach....but, I honestly believe 2020 will be VS comeback where the brand finally heading in the right direction and we as an audience and consumers will start to see more changes. It’s actually getting me excited since if they actually do decide to ever do the show again, it’ll be the first show of a new decade! Any changes you’d like to see if there’s gonna be VSFS 2020 special next year? (probably on Netflix or any other streaming platform) personally, better music, no more performers but if you will here are some suggestions: Lizzo, Lil Nas X and maybe one more performer and that’s it. Less models in the show (40 max) since the angel lineup is way too large rn and I have a feeling this will be the year we will see plus size and trans models walking the runway which I have no prob with if they can properly deliver.

Couldn’t agree more! Literally the perfect angel lineup, I can’t believe it’s already July 2019 and not one Angel has been dropped yet? The current lineup is too huge (15-16 girls I think? I can’t keep track anymore idk) and they’re not even using their Angels for events but influencers..it makes no sense

That’s actually not a bad idea! I interpreted Leslie’s words as something not like a show, but more an event. Like say a live event somewhere in the city open to the public or something to showcase new lingerie or maybe even the return of the Angel tour? part of me wishes there will be a show this year but after 4 consecutive shitty shows, this is VS best decision yet. Time to save money on hiring a whole new staff and going a new direction. *side note, Leslie also mentioned “in the future” so maybe nothing at all this year at least?

Ughh this is why Doutzen will forever and always be my fave blonde bombshell angel. PERIODT. so underrated and she was VERY smart to leave the brand when she did. She was already waaaay underappreciated (debatable since she did get to open and close many segments and was featured a lot on the website and editorials during her tenure but she never got the same treatment like the other angels). Why would she stay with a brand that never really appreciated her to begin with only to introduce 10 new Angels that would’ve pushed her back even lower to the bottom of the barrel in VS? I miss the exclusivity of the angels, they were just untouchable otherworldly bad bitches who were bombshells and household names. Doutzen especially, she will always be my fave angel of all time. Now it’s all about being “relatable” or “quirky”...like no sis, you’re a fantasy...sell that fantasy lmao

Leomie looks amazing! I’m surprised, it seems like only Barbara and Leomie have done more events so far as new Angels, meanwhile I don’t remember if Grace started any yet and Alexina only did one with that IG thot/“influencer”.

Romee has been looking really good lately! so vibrant and healthy looking, I love it! She was never a fave of mine but I’m starting to warm up to her, she has a special aura about herself that most of the Angels don’t have...kinda reminds me of Karolina K

I love Leomie but I agree with you guys for the most part. It’s not in her position to say what she said but at the end of the day do we even know for sure if there is going to be a show this year? If not, she isn’t wrong for stating the truth that there will be no show so at least no one will get their hopes up high.

Also I think instead of a fashion show this year on a streaming site or elsewhere on television, they’ll probably do what they did in 2004 and do like an Angels Tour or something which would really be a bummer imo. This is like the worst time for anyone to be an Angel, I feel so bad for Leomie, Barbara, Grace and Alexina they all deserved better. Seems like a lot of people are happy with the VSFS “ending”....yikes

I don’t get why people are upset with Leomie’s tweet? she’s just being honest, other than Josephine, I highly doubt any of the Angels really care for VS as a company, I’m almost positive the majority are only there to do their job, make their money and leave. It is unprofessional I agree with that but the brand is already a sinking ship so who really cares if one (of many I’m sure) Angel’s sole purpose of wanting to be an Angel is for the check. Not like VS has much else to offer anyway these days.

Agreed. Candice should’ve opened Flights of Fancy, it was a much better segment fitted for her and Sara should’ve opened Downtown Angels while Martha should’ve closed Downtown Angels.

I still never understood why they let Martha both open and close a segment...I like her but really??? Out of any Angel you chose Martha?? Especially considering Sara was left in the DUST last year and got jack shit. I would’ve been so upset if I were her tbh sidenote: Martha killed it tho so I’ll give credit where it’s due.

Making Leomie an Angel was a good move for VS...I can’t wait to see her in this year’s show (if there is one), hopefully she gets something special *fingers crossed on Swarovski outfit*

I highly doubt we’ll get another Angel announcement anytime soon. If there’s ever gonna be a new Angel (my bets are on Lorena for sure tho) she’ll receive the Jojo treatment and her announcement will be several months from now. After they cut a few more Angels from the lineup of course. I really hope it’s not just the veterans who are being replaced because other than Jasmine, none of the current new Angels (since 2015) bring anything to the brand. Taylor had sooo much potential because I find her gorgeous but she’s so over VS that it’s kinda hard to watch. I used to love Elsa but my girl got a show opening, a Swarovski outfit and a FB...there’s nothing left for her so I’ll be fine with her leaving. Lais already got the most beautiful FB and finally got to open a segment again so I’ll be fine with her leaving. We need a whole new fresh lineup with ALL new girls imo (excluding Leomie, Barbara, Grace and Alexina of course).

Same here. You have 3 well established models in the industry that you gave contracts yet you still give Alexina a contract as well? Just an unnecessary Angel position filled up. She’s gonna be a filler Angel a la Stella or Martha imo.

I think she and Barbara will open a segment, while Leomie may close a segment or wear the SO and Alexina may close as well or wear the SW.
