I would have preferred no Juve in the quarters. Maybe a Juve/City pairing would be a good thing?
  2. It was a good idea to put these two together

  4. There have been a few posts recently from Solid and Striped with Georgia Fowler and Elsa Hosk. Maybe I'm the only one, but I almost feel bad for Elsa because Georgia looks so much better. Of course, there is no reason to feel bad for Elsa as she is doing quite well in her career. Only my opinion, feel free to call me crazy.
  5. She really is, amazing eyes.

"guys, I'm wearing nipple covers. you can all calm down" That actually made me laugh (maybe I'm in a good mood today).

I'm sure I'm wrong, but I think Disney has two time frames to consider: they have to wait two years to use the characters again and five years before they have the rights back to what has already aired. I think you are right that they would not want to add content which would essentially encourage people to watch the previous content still on Netflix. It's more likely they would wait a number of years to create something new and even if they thought about bringing back the actors they would probably decide it's cheaper to start over with a new cast (of course, they don't seem to be saving money on cast or production of the upcoming Disney+ shows).

Based on what I have read about the Netflix / Marvel / Disney+ situation, none of the characters from the Netflix shows are coming back for new material any time soon (years). If they ever come back, by the time they do, there is very little chance that any of the same actors would be involved. It's unfortunate timing, really.

No one commented on the second season? My main thought was disappointment there is not a third season because I would really look forward to Colleen as the Iron Fist. Also, a Typhoid Mary story could have been interesting (I thought Alice Eve was really good).
  11. I know I'm stating the obvious, but she looks really great in all of these.

It's easy to see why she gets hired so much. You would have to be very bad at your job to create something where she doesn't look great.

  15. She seems to have what it takes to be very successful. Of course, luck always plays a part.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like she looks even better recently. (I don't have a specific time frame for what recently means)

I didn't have anything else to post, but I saw a critic's take on the awards and he had some thoughts. Here are two: - Olivia Colman should not have been considered the Lead Actress because Emma Stone had the most screen time. - He didn't feel Rami Malek should have won because he didn't sing and the songs are such a big part of the movie and the part.

I thought about this with Ali winning last night for Green Book. That movie was basically the two of them for most of the movie but Ali gets a supporting nomination (and win) while Viggo gets the lead nomination. I don't think there are set rules for this. The studios campaign to split the actors between categories so two from the same movie are not against each other. That is likely how is was done with The Favourite and Green Book this year.

I thought many of the speeches were good and heartfelt. I really liked Gaga and Olivia Colman. Olivia's win had to be the most unexpected, even she was shocked.

^^ Some years a good movie wins, and some years a great movie loses. The quality is always going to vary from year to year. When Bohemian Rhapsody won some early awards, I was worried it was going to win Best Picture. That would have been particularly odd considering the average critics reviews.

There wasn't really a clear best this year, that happens some years. I thought Roma had the momentum and would win, but Green Book was a good choice.
