Dario Šimić is a retired Croatian professional footballer, born on 12 November 1975 in Zagreb, who played as a defender at top clubs including Dinamo Zagreb, Inter Milan,AC Milan and AS Monaco during a career spanning the 1990s and 2000s. He earned over 100 caps for the Croatia national team, featuring in three FIFA World Cups (1998, 2002, 2006) and three UEFA European Championships, and was the first Croatian to reach 100 international appearances. After retiring from playing in 2010, he later worked in football administration and marketing, including roles at Dinamo Zagreb.
