The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is known to catapult careers like models Bar Refaeli, Kate Upton, Nina Agdal and Chrissy Teigen who are just a few who began their rise with the swimsuit issue. Danielle Herrington is on the 2018 cover and if all stays the same the model should be destined for stardom. Here’s some things you should know about the California native turned Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Superstar:
Sports Illustrated Was Danielle’s First Photoshoot, EVER!
Being that beautiful in front of the camera must have taken years of practice, right? But not for Danielle! The model was such a natural that her 2017 Sports Illustrated photoshoot was her first professional photoshoot ever! “I remember being told I was going to live in New York. Six months later, I’m a Swimsuit model.”
We’ll Be Seeing Her In Victoria’s Secret Very Soon
Just last week Danielle posted a photo on her Instagram with Lais Ribeiro shooting for Victoria’s Secret! Guy Aroch was the set photographer with Martha Hunt and Elsa Hosk also spotted on set. Perhaps come November we’ll see Danielle rocking a pair of Angel wings on the runway?
Danielle Is Only The Third African American Model To Appear On The Cover
It’s hard to believe, but Herrington is only the third black model to appear on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover with Tyra Banks scoring the cover in 1997 and Beyonce in 2008. The model say’s that Tyra Banks is her idol and even got a surprise visit during the unveiling of her cover where she couldn’t contain her excitement!
