^^ In France at least yes we have... In my case, all over the middle school i had :D and i was in a privat catholic school, so ...:D

We have tv ads also, free condoms in middle school and highlschool also...and in front of almost every pharmacies, there is comdoms distributors, selling from cheap prices to more expensive stuff.

^ That's why Europe is full with old people.... We should ban these things!

^ Well, we could think that indeed but actually, i talk only of what i know there but France lead the birth rate and fecundity rate with Ireland i think, so, it's possible i mean.

Countries like Japan or Germany, know some problems because it's impossible out there for a pregnant woman to continue to work "normally". They have to leave their jobs or many others problematics... "birth politic" is actually a huge thema in politic today, and many countries just avoid it...

Whatever. I don't think it takes a genius to figure out how to put a condom on.  There are much more obvious reasons for why our teen pregnancy rate is high, which I'm not going to discuss here because it's inappropriate for the forum.

^ See that's the issue here that you're not understanding at all! There are many who do mess up with condoms due to lack of education in proper use and the main point of the story was pointing out how ludicrous it is to teach a sex ed class without mentioning condoms which are one of the worlds most used forms of contraceptives and CHEAPEST too, not to mention widely available. :pinch:

Adding to the discussion: Many people do fuck up condom usage, they don't put it on in the right time, don't use the correct side, don't pinch the top thingie, roll it out before putting it on the peen and seriously it's honestly quite a common thing. Seriously if they want to teach sex ed right, they got to at least cover one of the most useful things in that side of education.

Abstinence based education is about as useful as a condom with a hole on it. All it does is teach people not to have sex and therefore nothing bad will happen to them. It's in a sense victim blaming and shaming.

(2) For purposes of this section, the term "abstinence education" means an educational or motivational program which—

(A) has as its exclusive purpose, teaching the social, psychological, and health gains to be realized by abstaining from sexual activity; (B) teaches abstinence from sexual activity outside marriage as the expected standard for all school age children; © teaches that abstinence from sexual activity is the only certain way to avoid out-of-wedlock pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, and other associated health problems; (D) teaches that a mutually faithful monogamous relationship in context of marriage is the expected standard of human sexual activity; (E) teaches that sexual activity outside of the context of marriage is likely to have harmful psychological and physical effects; (F) teaches that bearing children out-of-wedlock is likely to have harmful consequences for the child, the child’s parents, and society; (G) teaches young people how to reject sexual advances and how alcohol and drug use increases vulnerability to sexual advances; and (H) teaches the importance of attaining self-sufficiency before engaging in sexual activity.

It's honestly a load of bullshit in most aspects. Sexual activity outside of marriage will have "harmful psychological and physical effects", this is the kind of distorted and OTT information they appear to be promoting to kids?  :idk:  Not to mention many people that take part in these programs will have much more harmful first time sex experiences because they won't know how to take care in preventing bad stuff from happening. Instil fear in the next generation, beware the peen!

In New Zealand they've got massively comprehensive sex ed. We all got taught how to put the condom on, got to look at all the contraceptive methods, covered sexual orientation and gender identity, relationships (romantic, abusive) watched plenty of documentaries relating to all topics and we were all pretty educated from it. The teachers even insisted if you wanted to have a taste of the flavoured condoms you could.

In France, abortions are free and anonymous for teenagers... I don't know if it's good or bad, but at least this is existing...

* Bullshits :D This stuff screw up the sexual education at school here... as much as creationist theory does it in the US now...

I AM bored with this topic.

^ me too, Lyla, especially because I'm actually educated on it, lol.  It's not worth my time to try to have an intelligent conversation about this on a BZ forum.

I wasn't bored with it earlier...

and I wrote "I AM..." just to be on-topic....:p
