i guess it depends where you live and what social circles you're from. In Canada Gisele is not overrated. half of the population here does not know who she is exactly. But i don't live in any other country so i can't tell you whether she is overrated or not. I can only tell you that G is not overrated here in Canada. simple as that

It's becouse here in Canada , The fashion industry & models and etc is's not big at all.

When it comes to Fashion Canada it's a disaster . I remember in BG it was like the biggest thing every girl on the street would be well dressed with nice hair and so .. but notttt here.

The states are a lil better and Fashion Industry is big in N.Y & L.A so models are big too and VS is an american brand after all , and Gisele it's the only supermodel so she's overrated there , but after all she's done a LOT , but still she's not the only good model out there.

I also live in Canada and the fashion industry is crap here so I dont get an overdose of gisele everyday like most of you guys. Im not a gisele hater but im not a gisele lover either. I mean, she works sooooooooooooo freaking hard and thats really what shes known for, being rich. She does a lot of work and in total she earns a lot, but she doesnt really earn that much per contract. In 2006 Adriana was the only model to have three multimillion dollar contracts going on at once and last time i checked gisele had like 21 (sorry if that number is wrong) contracts that year. That means that 2 at the most were multimillion dollar contracts and the rest of them were only 1 mil. or less. But she is still the richest model because she works soooooooooo hard and that deserves a certain ammount of respect. At the end of the day she might find herself going "holy crap i have so much money but im not really happy. I wasted a lot of my life working" but thats just a question of morals and what she will really find valuable once she has time to think about it. I should take over Dr Phil's job .

On another note, I dont like how gisele's fans seem to take everything to the extreme with her. They say she has the best boobs in the world, the best legs, the best stomach, the best face etc. when really I think she doesn't. I guess that means i think shes sorta overrated...hmm...Well I'm a huge Adriana fan and i dont think she is the most perfect person out there. I think shes the most beautiful and shes my favourite but I would say Heidi has the best boobs (or had, shes had three kids now so im not too sure what they look like) and Eva Herzingova has the best legs etc. Gisele's fans make it seem like she is walking perfection. Sure shes better than mere mortals but she isn't anything spectacualr compared to other models. She has high cheekbones (woopdeedoo. most models do) and long legs (because shes tall. which all models are.) but that doesnt make her a goddess among other models. I also dont think her body is that great. She has no butt or hips or any of those curvy sexy things.

I guess what i am trying to say is that gisele is a supermodel because she works her ass off and i think she deserves that title but I just dont think she is as spectacularly unique and beautiful as her hardcore fans seem to think Okay I'm done.

what you´re saying is odd. Sorry, but you don´t have even a clue how she feels She seems to me like a happy, grounded person (yeah, me neither have a clue how she really feels). She works hard, but how do you know it´s not because she LOVES her work?? E.g., my dad is workin the WHOLE day - I mean, he wakes up at six, goes to work and gets home at 11 pm or later. He works at weekends sometimes too, but he does it because he loves his work, it´s part of him, if he wouldn´t work, I can´t even imagine how hard it would be for him (and for us to share one flat ) btw, you should see him on holiday, it´s a hell :D he´s also trying to do everything for us - his family - to make us live better, to give us everything he´d never had when he was young. Yeah, there are also disadvantages, like his health, but he´s 50 and frankly, in good condition on someone in his age I´m dreaming about finding a job like that - a job I will love, where I will be able to reach a success like he has. A job where I will LOVE to work hard, so when I´m old, I will be able to say "Yeah, I´ve done something, I was....someone." for me, my father is someone - that´s what I´m talking about

he´s happy just like that btw, Gisele´s always saying she wants a lot of children. She haven´t found the right man for now, but who knows what will happen I think she´s got her values just right at least, she will have something to give them (if not everything:D )

yeah, I see. I understand why, however, I do the same sometimes it´s obvious, when you love someone and adore so much, you see everything PERFECT on that person But...I´m always saying, Gisele is the most beautiful woman on the whole world, for ME. first thing, she HAS butt - and a wonderful one I know she´s not very hips-curvy, but she has butt and boobs, you can´t deny that And she HAS a great body, frankly, she has one of the greatest bodies in the fashion, not just because of its shape - but SHE can do her body fierce, not talking about when she´s doing a runway...damn...she rocks.

second thing - she´s not a supermodel just because she works hard - that is a VERY important point, I admit, but there are more things that made her so popular. She´s unique because she is some kinda of "leading" model in that boobs thing - I mean, she´s skinny, but she still has boobs and butt, she´s brazilian and no one can deny her universal beauty. One designer said about Gisele "She has so many faces, and each one so wonderful, so unique."

and there is her personality too - she´s totally professional, clever, wise, talkative, friendly, lively and still grounded. She´s like the cinderella story about a girl from a little village in Brasil who was found while eating in a restaurant or what, haven´t got a clue about fashion and now... everyone loves cinderella´s stories, you know

I think that Gisele was born to do exactly this - to be a model, or supermodel, or any-kind of model, and she´s doing her job as great as possible, and that´s why I love her so much. I mean, I like or love so many models but she will always be my number one uff...now I´m done too

I think that it is very important that she is doing something that she loves (and its good that your dad is too) but all I was saying is that there has to come a point where she stops and it doesnt seem like she is nearing that. It is very good that she wants to have lots of kids because any time someone has such unselfish goals it means that they are loving and will eventually want to take care of others. I'm not going to comment on her personality because Ive never met her but I will say that she seems very cold in interviews. Once again just a personal opinion.
